Hey guys, going through the seller's feedback, I remembered buying a Zak II from this guy earlier this year. I will never buy anything from this guy again!. I didnt give him a -ve , only a neutral cos it was a speedy delivery... BUT He sucks people in with his low low costs. Yes it is low o right..but his shipping costs are way overpriced!. he dosen't put much effort in the packaging either. ie. He just wraps the item up in green wrapper, and so when it arrives, expect it to be crunched and bashed around!! Buyers beware I say. If you can live with the box being crunched go for it...but I like my box crisp

Cincikate: Did you mean the P.G. ZakuII? But whatever one it was how did you like the kit? Did the model survive intact even if the box didn't? JWM

JWM Hey JWM, no its not the PG, man, I wish I cna afford one though. They look sweet! No I bought my first MG Zaku II from him. The box came squashed and bashed around. Yes the plastics survived...but one or two pieces had come off the sprues inside.. It was just not worth it for the high price I paid for shipping.

I know the P.G.'s are expensive! (I've got four.) But I can't recommend the experience highly enough. It's the closest you'll ever come to actually participating in an anime epic. Go for it if you get the chance! JWM

Yes, I suppose the PG's are not that expensive when compared to some of the SOC's out there! I just cant quite justify spending that much on a model kit...
At least with a toy, its pre-assembled and good to go straight away.
Then again, thats not why one buys model kits is it? Just that I dont think I have the skills to match the spending!
Im building MG kits at the moment...One day my skills of kit building will warrant buying a PG :-)

I did a couple of 1/100 high grades before doing the MG Full Armour ZZ. I jumped from that to the PG Zeta, which is the most difficult of the four kits by far. (I haven't done the new RX178) It was very intimidating at first. I had to spend a couple of days just reading through the construction manual until I felt secure enough to begin sticking parts. (Later, you realize that getting over the shock was part of the fun.) It took a long time, but it came out perfect. Everything fit. Everything worked. And because I built it, I value it above the stuff that I just took out of the box. If you haven't seen it, check out my piece on the Hyper Hybrid 1/60 Glorious Grade Rick Dom. JWM

Hey JWM. Yeah Im like you, I always liked reading and memorising manuals and catalogues before taking my toys out or building models.. I used to build quite a lot of model fighter planes in previous years before moving straight up to a MG RX-78-2. the Kai ver.2 version. Im now in the process of customising it, changing it into a hybrid Titans / Char's version...hmmm. when Im happy with it, I might post some pics up...but it may take a few more months! Still, I have since acquired a Ramba's Gouf, another RX-78-2 ver1.5 and looking at a few more for the future... I like the manuals :-)

It sounds like you're far ahead of me in the modeling game. I've been content with just detailing the panel lines and gluing structural parts. I haven't bothered with painting, air brush, or any of that stuff. I've seen some hard core modelers do great stuff, but that's more fun than I want to have. JWM
