All HGUC are in 1/144 scale and the 'olds' HG are (most of them) in 1/100 scale, that's basically the different. ![:)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/smiley.png) Sorry if I miss something, becouse I don't speak english very well. ;D

I think what he's confused about is the difference between HG 1/144th and HGUC 11/44th. the HGUC, or High Grade Universal Century line is basically the premiere HG line for MS from the UC timeline. Theres also HG 1/144th for SEED and all the SEED run-ons, as well as a HG 1/144th Endless Waltz line. Then again, theres also HG 1/100th kits that are basically MG size (same scale) but don't rely on them being too accurate proportion-wise. Also their joints are just polycap. Theres no joint cover to assimilate realism or detailing in the HG 1/100th kits. Then theres also those HG 1/144th kits from 0080 that were re-released recently. Don't be fooled! These are merely 1989 Bandai kits with bad proportions and cheap polycaps that sometimes don't work as well as they should (the leg sockets are really bad) and since Bandai has re-made most of these 0080 kits in their HGUC line, just get the HGUC kits. They're much better. All in all, Bandai has made the HG name very foggy with recent developments. I sometimes think they just put the HG logo on there so it will sell.

The only MS that are released both in HG and HGUC versions are: Gundam, Gundam Mk-II & Zeta Gundam. All 3 HG versions were released back in 1990, while the HGUC versions were released between 2001 to 2003.
As Bazookafied has suggested, don't even consider the HG versions. The HG Gundam is actually no longer in production. The HG Mk-II was released in AEUG color and although it isn't available as a HGUC, you can get the HGUC Titans color version or the HG Super Gundam. The HGUC Zeta has the Hyper Mega Launcher which is not in the HG version.

Thats not true. The AEUG Mk II is available in HGUC. Its in a set with the G-Defender to make the Super Gundam. The G-Defender can simply be taken off the backpack and you have your AEUG Mk II. Also, the Zeta HGUC kit was released in 2004, but thats not much of a difference. Just fyi

Bazookafied-san, that's exactly what I said in my post! ![;)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/wink.png) I said "you can get the HGUC Titans color version or the HG Super Gundam", remember? Was the HGUC Zeta released last year? Strange, since HLJ and Gundam Model Catalogue said it was October 2003. Doesn't really matter, though.

Oh sorry! I thought the Zeta release was more recent than 2003. I'm probably wrong. I thought you were saying that the Super Gundam is not the AEUG Mk II, my bad there too.
