Nice review bro! I agree, I like metal but I am also a fan of playability (is that a word?) and detail... This toy is a great mixture of all three.
I hope your review brings attention to an otherwise very excellent toy to keep the MMM line going.

I'm also a fan of the MMM line. SOOO much better than MSiA and without the time commitment of model-making. Thanks for the review!

I agree that these are the finest figures to date! I just found the GQ Blast And Sword Impulse MMM's and ordered them too. I am especially excited about the Blast!

Where'd you find the Blast Gundam for sale? How much? I'm looking to get one myself.

I got it from HLJ (Hobby Link Japan). It's $55 plus $10 or so to ship).
They're out now, but will have stock again very soon.

Do you know if Aile Strike attachment from the first MMM Gundam fits these new Gundam GQ figures? I just ordered the Blast Impulse from HLJ & was hoping to use the wing backpack from the older MMM instead of buying the Force Impulse.

Nope, the Impulse uses 2 connection pegs that connects at the upper back area while the Strike uses 1 peg connecting in the mid back area.

Oh well. Thanks for the response. I still don't think I'll get the Force Impulse unless someone can convince me that the backpack and beam sabers make it worthwhile or unless I can get one at a really low price. I see that the figures are all the same except for recoloring and attachments. I wish Bandai would just sell the optional equipment alone at a lower pricepoint instead of this recoloring business which was done with the previous MMM's.

I just got my Blast Impulse Gundam from HLJ. It was definitely worth the wait of over 2 weeks. Now this is the way a Gundam figure should be made! It features diecast in the shoulders, groin area, and feet. It features a transforming core fighter, moveable verniers, plenty of articulation, the silhouette flyer that attaches to the blasters, a pair of knives, blast attachment, 4 extra hands, a beam rifle, collapsible shield, and a beam (?) naginata in compact and extended modes. As an additional bonus the parts of the naginata can be stored in the blaster barrels! This is one must-have Gundam for Gundam fans. It also comes with an extra antenna made of hard plastic that you can swap out for the PVC one on the figure. Most of this figure is constructed out of hard plastic instead of the flimsy junk that is used for the GFF's. Sure, it's pricey, but it 's definitely worth every penny. Now should I get the other 2...? ![;)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/wink.png)

I loved the Blast Impulse Gundam so much that I picked up a Force Impulse Gundam at a great price. These are just some of the most marvelous Gundam figures I've ever owned. Has anyone seen a review of the Sword Impulse? What is the next MMM in the lineup? I really hope that Bandai continues with this fantastic product line (since being a dad doesn't allow for much model-building time anymore). ![;)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/wink.png)
