Hello all I was hopping someone out there could help with a question.
I just ran out of MR Hobby thinner and I live in alaska and it takes Half a life time to get any paint product up/over here by mail. I was hopping some one knew a tried and true method for thinning out the the Mister hobby paint that I can get at the hardware store that work as well and Mr hobby thinner.
thanks clifton

Well, I normally use high quality thinner ("fine thinner") with Gunze Mr Color paints, and it's available at any paint or hardware stores. It works well for me, and they sell it in gallons, so it lasts for ages hehe.

hey Albert No not yet I'm looking in to paint sceams(?SP) right now I wasnt to do it in a green that the germans would have used on thier Armor it WWII or modern. plus I thnk I my want to change the LED on the Eye to a blue or red. the main thing is the inner pistons for the hydraulics i'm going to cutt off the pistons counter sink the supporpts and epoxy/ca aluminum tube in thier place.(a friend of mine has the MKII gundam and all the Chromed pistons have broken off at the connectors.)
and after all that I would like to find water slide decals for it, insted of the stickers.
for the paint I may just go with the silhouette breakup camo the millitary just came out with. I don't know just yet. we will see but that's agin for the PG's Albert I'll will post pictures clfton Ps i left good feed back in the Posi transaction thread in sales/trade

Looks like you have some big ideas you wanna do. That's KOOL I like the Red Eye idea too. It will make it look more meaner. Thanks for the feedback too. Keep us posted.

you can also use ethanol. but u must use the 95% - 100% kind. anything else below that wont break down the paint structure.
Also, they r quite hard to find as they r very highly flameable...but if u ask nicely, u can prob find some from your chemist. I did. (its basically 100% alcohol, used as rubbing alcohol for wounds and such)
oh, if u buy a big litre of the stuff, its hell of a lot cheaper than the Gunze branded ones!

heavyarmscustom: The LED that comes with the PG Zaku should be red anyway (isnt it?) Mine definately is red. Blue would look pretty unique though.
