Lately I've been browsing Ebay and other sites, hunting for my next purchase... I'm thinking about buying a couple of MG to check out the line... (as I've only built a PG so far) the thing is, I came across some metallic coated versions, which I haven't found reference to... are these versions nice? They do seem to have a shiny finish, but I haven't found many pics to see them in detail. Is the metallic finish like the blade on the PG Strike's sword? If so, don't they chip? (not that my PG sword has shipped, I'm just wondering) If anyone's built one, I'd love to know his opinions... they do seem to be a little more expensive... Thanks ![;)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/wink.png)

i don't have one, but i know they are just repaints of the original model so they shouldn't chip.

I have several of the metallic coated MG models (the Zakus, the Zeta, RX-78, GP01, GP02). The finish for the silver parts are usually a flat silver instead of the other colors which are usually a shiny chrome finish. I love these models mainly because they look so good with minimal to no painting. They may not be the most realistic, but if you don't like painting or don't have the time for painting anymore, give these a try.
