Does anyone know if there are any differences between the 7.5" Mobile Fighters released in the U.S. and those released in Asia? I know the packaging is quite different, and more Mobile Fighters were released in the U.S. Are these even the same toy lines? Are there differences in gimmicks or detailing?

Really? I saw a few old stocks of the Bandai HK Mobile Fighters and it didn't look like they had any panel lines either.

The original 7.5" Mobile Fighters that came out with the G Gundam series and released only in Asia actually had fewer painted-on details than those re-released later in the U.S. You got stickers instead. For the most part, the re-released versions are better. However, the Asian version 7.5" God Gundam had a metallic silver coating, and the Asian Shining Gundam was silver (not metallic). The Asian Gundam Rose also came with missiles that could be inserted into the shoulder missile launchers though the launchers were missing springs. The Master, Zeus, and Haow Gundams seem to have been more recently produced.

I didn't know there was an Asian release of the 7.5" Zeus Gundam! I thought there were only seven: Big Scale MSIA (G Gundam and Master Gundam) and the Mobile Fighters (Gundam Rose, Bolt Gundam, Shining Gundam Hyper Mode, Dragon Gundam and Gundam Maxter). Saw these on www.ehobbyland.comAlso saw a review of a 7.5" Gundam Rose on www.collectiondx.com. Does that depict the Asian version? It seems to have those loadable rose missles.

The Gundam Rose reviewed on CollectionDX is the American version with metallic coated parts. The original just had yellow parts instead of gold and had actual missiles instead of rose bits. As far as I know, the Zeus Gundam was not previously released in Asia. I'm not aware of an Asian version ever being produced. I wasn't a fan of this one anyway since it was too over-the-top.

The Zeus was US release only. The US and Japanese Master and Burning DX are very similar.

The original 7.5" Burning Gundam was called God Gundam and released in the 90's and was painted a metallic silver color unlike the later US and Asian releases which were white (like the anime). I believe the Rose bits for the Gundam Rose are more anime-accurate, but IMO the missiles are cooler because you can put springs in the launchers an voila! You could fire them.

So what do you guys think of these Asian versions? Are they worth picking up or should track down the U.S. versions instead?
