I found a conversion set for a MG GP-01fB on HobbyFan. Its pricy, but I really like this conversion set. I'll save you the trouble of looking at the website for pictures, as I want to post them anyways. In my opinion, this is the best version of the GP-01 I have ever seen. What are your thoughts on this? ![](http://www.hobbyfan.com/images/resin/rb445.jpg) ![](http://www.hobbyfan.com/images/resin/rb445b.jpg) ![](http://www.hobbyfan.com/images/resin/rb445c.jpg)

These models look awesome. I'm a little new to anything different than the grades of the most publicized series... so what are these conversion kits and what series is this gundam from? ![???](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/huh.png)

Hey -that's a really badass interpretation of the GP-01 (very cool thrusters). ![8-)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/cool.png) For anybody wondering - GP-01 was introduced in the 0083 OVA-series "Stardust Memory." It was later refitted to "Full Burn" mode for space-flight... only to be destroyed in combat with the GP-02 half-way through the mini-series. Naturally, that was Sunrise's cue to introduced even faster more powerful mobile suits... ;D

Conversion sets are usually resin cast and sold separatley from their kit counterparts. They're also quite expensive. The kit includes the parts and directions to apply the new parts to a pre-exsisting kit. Basically, this kit had resin parts to upgrade the rear boosters and the leg units, as well as include a new gun. Once the parts are properly built and applied to the kit, its all painted over. To answer your question about "what series is this Gundam from"... this Gundam is based off the GP-01 from Stardust memory (as explained above). This conversion of the GP-01 is not in any seres (as far as I know). Many times, different versions of MS are released by making conversion sets, to aviod making a whole kit out of it. These MS usually are rare and don't appear in the seres. Most of them are just designs thought up by artists. Some of them are MSV (mobile suit variations) Hope that helps!
