Hi all! I just wanted to share my excitement. I finally completed both my HY2M Dom and Gouf. The camera flash makes the Gouf seem a little lighter than he actually is. His true color is more of a deep true blue color. All the lights actually work! I put in the MG Rick Dias and MG Strike in the picture for size comparison. As for a quick review of both, I think they are both excellent models. The hy2m series has really impressed me. The joint tightening system does wonders for posing the models. 100% better posing than any of the PG models just due to the fact that over posing of PG models can end up loosening joints. The lighting systems are very cool, and are actually not that difficult to wire. Though I would recommend purchasing both, overall I would recommend the Dom over the Gouf if you had to choose. The dom has the huge canon, and a much better lighting system with a lot more LED's. It is just a much better display peice. Let me know what you guys think. ![:D](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/grin.png) Qball ![](http://www.quangxha.com/pictures/hy2mdomgouf.jpg)

Looks cool. I have the dom, and think it's a great model. I painted the monoeye pink but the light goes through the paint easily when I turn the light on, so it looks good either way.
Did the cable pieces for the Gouf's face come molded in grey? That looks really weird.

Haha, that looked weird to you too? It actually comes with moldings in both colors, blue and grey. So you can choose which you want. Both sprues were labled M, so I just chose the first one I saw. I didn't notice until later that there was a blue M and a grey M sprue. I am debating on whether to change the face cable to blue, or the body cables to grey. What do you think?

Now that I think about it, could those pieces be for the heat rod? I can't see any other reason why they'd be there. I'm a big fan of the original Gouf and it's supposed to have blue cables and a grey heat rod, so I would switch them back if I were you, but naturally you can make it anyway you like it. Here are some old pics of some of my doms. ![](http://img197.echo.cx/img197/4316/smallerdompic2lu.jpg) ![](http://img197.echo.cx/img197/4725/doms1nx.jpg) ![](http://img197.echo.cx/img197/5194/jetstreamattack9ck.jpg)

*sniff* I like to think of myself as a pretty big fan. ![;)](http://lemonstre.fr/robot-japan/smileys/wink.png) Yeah, there's a lot of good Dom merchandise I'm missing, but my dom section does take up a pretty large chunk of my display area! The problem is, as much as I love doms, I can't really bring myself to go buy the normal dom MG when I have the rick dom MG, and I was a little underwhelmed by the zeonography so I decided to put it in prototype dom mode for the variety. It's a dom collection but I also feel like it'd lose something if I start throwing in doms that aren't standard coloring or close- like char's rick dom or the desert prototype or the colony attack rick dom II. I have a small section to the side with dom-like suits, including a gogg, asshimar and rick dias, so maybe if I get some alternate color doms they could go in there. That's also where I'd put any black tristars zakus if I get some at some point. Oh, and I've said it before, but I'd recommend the dom 2nd version msia to ANYONE. Its quality is transcendental- actually I think it even beats the EMIA gouf except for on the paint aps.
