Urgh, coated versions are the 'untouchables'(also almost unmoddable/unsandable and unpaintable). Must get rid of finger prints/grease once it's been handled or over time the coating will get corroded.

I have this coating version Z Gundam. It can be a pain to handle--best to touch the flat silver areas when handling instead of the shiny chrome parts. It can end up looking pretty good though if you can manage to trim the parts carefully enough and find silver paint that matches. Of course, it doesn't look as good as a kit that's been sanded and fully painted. But it's not an altogether bad choice if you don't have time to paint and want something that really stands out in a display case.
I modified mine so that the tail lights up. I think that some versions of the uncoated MG Z Gundams came with all the necessary parts (sans battery) to do this. For some reason, the coating version lacks these parts.
