Nice,Iv'e got an HCM of this gundam on the way.I just got a new material Gundam A.This thing rocks.Beautiful design, lots of die-cast,it's bigger & taller than I expected, great acessories.I love it.I'm not a gundam nut but I got it for myself as a birthday gift.It was $60.00 shipped, cheaper than almost all the SOC's but more than comprable in heft and Quality.Odd caucasian man on the box, the designer I take it,I also have a Hyaku-Shieki on the way,if it's at all like this I'm psyched.I'll post pics.

Syd Mead is the name of the designer. He's the famous futurist/designer for such movies as Bladerunner and Tron. His Gundam design is definitely distinct and a signficant departure from prior Gundams. Not my favorite, but I agree that the toy is pretty cool with lots of gimmicks going for it.
Which toy/figure series is this Z Gundam from?

pony-hp.web.infoseek.co.jp/CANDY-Z.htmIt's a toy packaged with candy for ~1500 yen; I forget. Still, you know something's mediocre if even Tinng can't make it look good. That's how I feel about this proportional atrocity anyway. ;D

Is it a Banpresto figure then? I wonder what it's made of? A lot of Banpresto stuff is made of soft rubbery gashapon (PVC) material. I like the printed on details, but I do see that it is less than 1/144 in scale. Thanks for the link.
