Get it Get it Get it! (Can't emphasize enough...)
I only own the normal phase shift down color, and it's an awesome toy... can crack someone's head with it's weight! Tight joints too! Since I don't collect variants, don't consider getting the clear version. But I think you should get it, because it's just plain awesome!!

I was wanting to get me one, but I had higher toy priorities. I now regret not getting one cos I think seeing the diecast endoskelton within a clear armor would've been more awesome to look at, as compared to a regular one un-armored.

Wish I could still find the Aile Strike Gundam at a decent price.

yea the Aile Strike has gone up in value i see it hit $100.00 almost every time now. i remember a while back going for as low as $35.00, i should have grabbed one when i could. The sword strike one is nice however i have the normal one it is cool, very heavy as well you could knock someone out with it ;D

I really dig the MMM series. I don't have this clear plastic version which looks pretty cool. I just have the standard version. What's up next for the MMM/GQ series? Anyone hear anything about what's going on at Bandai regarding this ?

I know a couple of hobby shops here in PI that have the Aile and selling it for $150.00 to about $180.00. zeomare: The MMM line was stopped. Then Bandai released the GQMMM with a severe cut down on diecast content. But the poseability was far far better. Unfortunately, the lack of diecast [reportedly] resulted in poor sales, and Bandai had to stop the line as well. If ever there was a Gundam line I'd collect aside from the DX's, it would be the MMM's. Unfortunately both of these great toy lines were put on the freezer.

Except for the TurnA, I think the MMMs Strikes and Impulses are the best Gundams I have (toys, models or even PG grade) due to them being gimmick laden gokins... here's hoping Astray gets the MMM treatment.

I'd be happy with a Strike Rouge! Just a repaint of the Aile Strike. Easy money for Bandai. (from me at least ;D)

Omni Existence, is that really true that the GQ line has also been discontinued? NOOOOOOOO!!! I love the MMM and GQ lines. I agree with GDomino that these chogokins are some of the best Gundams I have. I am very unhappy to hear that there will be no more of these. Well, I guess it'll be the HCM Pro line for me now. It'll be a cheaper way to go at least.

Well, there's no news of any further MM GQ releases, and its been a while since the Blast Impulse Gundam was announced and released.

I remember nearly pissing my pants when I first saw photos on-line of the GQs. At the time I had only recently got the Aile Strike in the mail and it was my new golden-boy in my collection (in fact it still has a place of honour in my display case near the top). But then last summer I was in Toronto browsing import-toy shops and when I saw the GQ's in person, I was severely disappointed... I decided to pass on them...
Maybe somewhere somewhen, I'll find the Launcher set (clear or not) at the right price...

i think the best chogokin gundam in 1/100 scale is the turn A gundam.. i have with undamage shoulder and with one damage shoulder that i manage to fix is the best looking chogokin gundam. but the Aile Strike is a mush have item too. the GQ gundams are just junks.
i think turn A gundam is under rated because of the defective shoulder problem.. if you can find one undamage u should buy it.. its pretty cheap on ebay now.

Dude, how can you say that the GQ Gundams are junk? I have the Blast Impulse Gundam and I love it!! Sure the die cast content is lower than the earlier MMM, but the sculpt is crisp, the poseability is awesome, and the joint tightness is satisfying. The model can also be combined accurate to the anime counterpart, and comes loaded with accessorries!
Can you give an example of 1/100 scale Gundam action figure that has similar pros at similar value?
Omni, you're breaking my heart with the news that the MMM / GQMMM line had been discontinued. It had so much potential... 1/100 Chogokin, fully poseable, fully transformable Zeta Gundam to coincide with the movie release, anyone?!

Wilson, do you own the GQ Models? If so, I dont understand how you could say that are junk. Less metal, nobody is going to argue that. The sterdiness is still there, the colors are good, assesories are also very good, and posibility is excellent. I still feel the MMM Aile Strike is better, I do own the Clear Varient Launcher Sword Strike, and used to own a MMM aile strike, but given the price different, the value of each is about the same. I own the blast, sword, and force, and they look great together on display

Nikodiablo, I do own Turn A, Aile/Sword/Launcher Strike and Force/Sword Impulse, however, I miss out Blast Impulse (don't know why?). They all are under the same line called "Chogokin" and fantastic figures. What Omni said it could be true. But I still hope they will make a comeback like Jumbo Grade and introduce Zeta, Freedom, Strike Freedom, Destiny or even my favourite Wing Zero custom into this line this year. Please Bandai!!
