Maybe somewhere somewhen, I'll find the Launcher set (clear or not) at the right price... Actually, the price for the MMM Launcher & Sword Strike Gundam (Normal version) is pretty good in Asia nowadays. I got mine for the equivalent of around US$52. Where?

Omni, you're breaking my heart with the news that the MMM / GQMMM line had been discontinued. It had so much potential... Well, that's pretty much the consensus among a lot of collectors and and sellers. Everyone knows that it's normal like 'breath' for Bandai to release new Gundam toys for each of their popular lines. If the MMM/GQMM/DX lines was as popular as most of us thought, why hasnt' Bandai released new ones? It's been almost a year at least since the GQMM's came out, but until now, no follow up. Well, I'd like to hope against hope that the MMM or at least the GQMM line comes back with a fury. It really is an interesting line.

The MMM Launcher & Sword Strike Gundam (Normal version)? I got mine for P2800 from GT Makati during one of Ayala's Midnight Madness Sales (just 5% off). Malvin might still have one.

Well. I do have the first of the GQ gundam line. I guess I was expecting something a lot better for the MMM line. I was really impressed with turn A and MMM Alie strike but was really disappointed when I got the GQ. It just felt like Bandai did not try anything special in the GQ line. I guess that is why we can still find GQ figures almost below the MSRP now on eBay. The amount of diecast was down more than 50% and the over all look of the figure was not outstanding. GQ is just another gundam figure that Bandai pushes out every year. With the limited display area that I have anything that is not special is junk. I am personaly are not a gundam fan so for me to spend the limited $ to buya gundam figuer it has to be something reallly good.. with shipping cost and all I pay about $40 for my turn A, $75 for my MMM Launcher and sword strike and about $90 for my MMM Alie strike and $75 for GQ also.. With $ into consideration I think Turn A is the best. Wilson, do you own the GQ Models? If so, I dont understand how you could say that are junk. Less metal, nobody is going to argue that. The sterdiness is still there, the colors are good, assesories are also very good, and posibility is excellent. I still feel the MMM Aile Strike is better, I do own the Clear Varient Launcher Sword Strike, and used to own a MMM aile strike, but given the price different, the value of each is about the same. I own the blast, sword, and force, and they look great together on display

With $ into consideration I think Turn A is the best. I got my TurnA for $30, my first Aile Strike for $25 (I thought were both lucky breaks on e-Bay), another Aile for $50, and my GQMMFIGS at regular price from HLJ. Out of all of them I was mostly disappointed with the TurnA due to that damned shoulder. I had to get another aile because the joints on my first one started to get loose due to the constant posing. The GQMMFIG I thought was close to perfection. I can understand why the diecast content was drastically lowered because of the gimmicks integrated into the toy, namely the gattai involved and to make the limbs not overloaded with weight like the Strikes so to maintain poses. So from that point of view, I'm not dis-satisfied with me paying full MSRP for an obviously well thought out toy... even if Bandai compromised on a few things.

What was so disappointing about the GQ's?
I think they're terrific. True DELUXE figures. However, there is definitely less diecast content compared to the initial MMM's released.

Wilson, I understand your concerns. However, to some of us who do not have the time (or the skill) necessary to built a Master Grade Kit, GQ MMM are the best substitute. I have both the MMM and GQ MMM, and although the MMM is really heavy in gokin content, once you put the armors on, its poseability is severely limited. I however, do not own the new material model turn A, therefore can not give evaluation of it's quality. I'm quite satisfied with the quality of the GQ MMM, although I don't plan on to obtain the other 2 variants (not a collector variant), and is happy with the heavy armed Blast Impulse version (I always display my MMM Strike Gundam as the Launcher Strike). Personally, I would not mind a GQ MMM rendition of, say ... Heavy Arms Custom or Gundam Leopard ... love these in the anime!! For GLaw, you can find pictures of the SE Wing Gundam Zero Custom here:

I know GLaw. I thought that the first AE set were the best, compared to the Gundam / Char's Gelgoog set (and if anybody remembered, a single Launcher Strike Gundam labeled as the AE series, without the enemy).
But it would still be nice to be able to get the DW WGZC!!
