Here is my very first Gundam! - MSZ-010 Master Grade. It took me bloody hours, but it was great! I think I have caught the bug as I have another under way, and another 2 waiting in the wings.

Gazza13, nice job. Did you use any paint on this kit? What are you gonna built next?

Hi Superfarterv,
No paint, other than inking in the line I'm afraid. Even so I'm really impressed by the look of the kit once finished.
I'm currently working on a XXXG-01D2 - Deathscythe H Custom in High Grade from the Endless Waltz series. In the wings I have RX-78GP03D (Stamen & Dendrobium) and a XXXG-00W0 W-Gundan Zero Custom also in High Grade and in the Endless Waltz Series.
I'm looking forward to the day I buy a perfect grade gundam!

Nice!
I've only picked up a few of the SD Gundams so far, but hoping to start buying the more substantial ones later on.
How much did he set you back out of curiousity?
I found a few nice UK based Gundam/Mecha seller sites if you're interested also.. I'll drop you the links in a PM if you want.

My first Gundam was the Clover DX Gundam set that I picked up as a kid in the 80's. I got it brand new at a shop in Little Tokyo in LA. I've been a fan of Gundams ever since. I have the DX 1/100 scale ZZ action figure also from the 80's and of course the more recent 1/144 ZZ chogokin. More chogokin Gundams please!!! Has Bandai stopped making any of the chogokin Gundams?

Hey §ulphur,
I'm luck enough to have recieved him for Christmas, so I'm unsure as to price (as the wife got it for me I'm sure it must have come from someone on ebay).
I hadn't seen any of the SD series until this weekend. I popped into TKmax, and they were selling a load off cheap - the one I got was half price.
Please drop me a line as to where I can get them in the UK - the shops around here generally don't stock anything like gundam.
Lastly, I'm sorry you were not a winner the other day, I'll keep you in mind if/when I get hold of another one.
Say zephyranthes do you have any pictures? They sound interesting.

My first Gundam collectible was a year 1989 Doven Wolf 1:144 Kit which I bought during my University years. Although the connection was wobbly, the finished kit itself was very, very cool. I stopped buying Gundams, until recently, when I obtained the DX GP-01 Zephyrantes. The latest Gundam I obtained was the MMM Sword / Launcher Strike Gundam.
By the way, very nice work Gazza13!

Gazza13, the High grade 1/100 endless waltz series kits need a lot of paint to get it too look right. Otherwise, they end up looking like the regular low grade models. I have the wing zero custom built but I used some tamiya spray paint on it to make it look somewhat like the the promo pictures on the box. You know, the pictures of the professional built models they used to trick people into buying the kits. Gundam markers are also great. Anyway, Amazon.com has the RX-78 perfect grade for 100$. It was offered at 70$ during christmas but has recently raised back up to 100. Still worth buying though.

You sure picked a great one to start with - the Double-Zeta title mech is easily one of the coolest kits. I have the FAZZ version, but still, it's one of my favourites. Once you get through one of these big MG's you won't be afraid to start modding and doing wild paint apps on the cheaper HG models... good luck!! And post pics when you're done!!
