You might want to give HCM-PRO a try... they're small - a little bit smaller than 1/144 but there's like a ton of them out now. However they're only UC continuity mobile suits, so you gotta be a fan of the originals. While I don't have any myself, I'm told their really nicely detailed and have a small die-cast feel to them ...they're also decently affordable from what I've seen at HLJ, etc...

actually is you are looking for diecast metal then the hcm-pro might not be good as they are all plastic, there has been a few lines of 1/144 diecast metal figures but there are not a whole lot out on the market and most are hard to find. the nicest was a Hyaku Shiki, there is also a Zeta, ZZ and a RX-78 and Zaku available.

Or the Metal Material Models... I still see Turn A and the Impulse Gs on ebay, but good luck on finding the the Aile Strike... IMHO the Strike was the best diecast Gundam.

I mean I've seen them in their boxes and in hi-res photos... I just assumed they were like those little die-cast super-robots you used to be able to get in the early 80's. The molds are amazing tho (plus I also found out there's a Seed Aile Strike in the HCM-pro line-up now). Anyway so besides the other few that were mentioned already in this thread... yeah, there just isn't much of a die-cast Gundam market.

hi actually there is no Seed Aile Strike Gundam out for the series, unless they just planned one without me knowing. ;D there is however a really nice Strike Freedom and Destiny Gundam available.

There's also the Action Gokin line from Banpresto which features a fair amount of diecast combined with PVC. Not much detailing but quite a bit of heft for small figures. Orig. Gundam series Gokins: RX-78 (red/white, silver versions), Zakus (green, red versions). Z Gundam series Gokins: RX-178 (AEUG and Titans versions), Zeta, Rick-Dias (Red and black versions). Also silver finish versions are available in the Zeta line.

The main shortcoming of HCM-Pro: The joints easily get loose after being moved for a few times.

tnx for the info ben, i've seen some of the kado senshi figures this week, and i like them. they kinda capture the classic looks of the mechs in the UC series. i also like some of the figures that comes with mini federation and zeon aircrafts, very nice touch. too bad they are mostly out of stock now. the z, zz, and hiaku shiki gundams are great too. here i made a list of potential kado senshi buys: GD-16 RX-78-2 GD-20 Char's Zaku MS-06S GD-26 Green Zaku-II MS-06 (with fighter) GD-28 RGM-79 GM (with fighter) GD-44 Z Gundam GD-53 100 Shiki GD-60 ZZ Gundam Ltd Ed.Gundam RX-78-2 Prototype Ltd Ed. Zaku Tri Star Gundam RX-78-2 Titans Color but i'm also searching the net for more pictures of those made by diecast creative, i think they are under banpresto too. do you know site/s with better pictures of them?
