Does anybody have any information about this product? It's listed as an item specially designed for the Z Gundam Movie - Price is US$ 25.00 (www.toy-wave.com). Any ideas about size, materials, transformation, poseability, etc?! From the product photographs, it seems to be really good... (images taken from

From what I recall it's mainly PVC, isn't perfect transformation, is quite small and wasn't very well received.... but it is cheap-ish...

wouldn't it be cheaper and better for you to get a HCM-pro Zeta?

I vaguely remember this toy maybe a year ago, mostly because of the (IMO) god-awful proportions. I believe it was a toy packed in with specialty candy for around 1500 yen, which is a little under $15. I don't know any more than that; sorry.

I haven't used them myself, but I've heard nothing but positive about them from others. I'd say they're pretty safe to use.

I don't actually like this kind of design particularly its bulky chest.

I don't actually like this kind of design particularly its bulky chest. Now that you mentioned.. The head does seems a little bit small. So it's not a perfect transorming item, then?! I guess the MSIA Z Gundam ver. 2.0 or the Extended MSIA Z Gundam will be a better purchase then... Thanks for the inputs, guys !

I own one. The design is very different from regular Z Gundam design. Comes with a nice display stand. About HCM Pro sized. The box is very nice. Comes with a single piece of gum. I got mine for $20 USD at where I work. IMO the main reason to get ths would be its Waverider mode, as its engineering is more focused on the WR form. MS mode is iffy, but WR mode is VERY nice. more pics (not mine): pony-hp.web.infoseek.co.jp/CANDY-Z.htm

HCM Pro size? I didn't realize it was that small. Is it all soft PVC like MSiA? What's the playability like? How does it compare to the HCM Pro?

Is it all soft PVC like MSiA? mostly hard plastic, with some soft (front part of Beam Rifle, head, etc). more durable than an HCM Pro.
What's the playability like? not good. front skirt armor really hinders the leg poseability (it's made of hard plastic, so you can't flex it like you would with MSiA. what you see at the top picture is pretty much how far you can pose the legs forward). elbow use weak ball joint so it has a hard time holding up the Beam Rifle (although that's something that can easily be fixed). this is something you'd get for display, not play.
How does it compare to the HCM Pro? FW: + nice detailings + unique engineering (compared to regular Z Gundam design) + VERY nice WR mode (I like this version better than the HCM Pro version) + nice display stand + more durable - iffy MS mode - not very good poseability - not much accessories (only comes with Rifle, Shield, & Booster Unit)
HCM Pro: + nice detailings + very good poseability + very involved transformation + lots of accessories - some joints are loose - fragile - does not have the grooves to attach to the standard type HCM Pro display stand - bad display stand (doesn't have the standard HCM Pro clip, thus cannot be used in MS mode)

Thanks for the details. Think based on what most people have been saying, seems like it's not a must get, but if you find one for a good price (under 20?), snag it and display it in WR mode.

I really like the styling of the Zeta in both MS and Waverider mode, but the transformation has to be the biggest PIA of all time. After I built the PG model I think I did it twice: once to see it done, and once again to take some pics. I have the little Kahen Senshei one too, and it's not much better. I checked the link for this toy and it seemed about the same- a twenty or thirty step process that will surely drive you to drink or drugs before you get it done.

Thanks for answering my questions Akseru. Since I already have a completed Master Grade Z, a Kahen Senshi, an HCM, and an HCM Pro Zeta, I'm not too eager to get one. However, I'm more interested in it than before because it's not a totally PVC toy.
