Well, he does say it's 'real gold coated', which is the same as real gold plated, which is what you thought it was in the first place.
for that kinda money you could make your own out of real gold....get a regular one to use for mold making, and a few ounces of gold - even at $65 an ounce, you've gotta buy a lotta gold to make up that!

no.... I said i thought it was gold electroplating, like the limited metallic versions of the PG Zeta, PG RX-178 MKII, PG RX-78 CA, PG RX-78-3, and the Limited Chrome PG RX-78. Its just like a metallic paint I think.

whatever it is, it's not worthy IMO... as cybermuton said, with that kind of cash you could make your own 24k gold plated Gundam ~_~

And really, what would you do with it? Build it?, Save it unbuilt? The RX78 is a crappy model anyway. It's tippy; it falls apart. I still want Bandai to make a 100% metal PG model 1/25th scale to boot.

For diecast 1/144 UC Gundams, your current choices include the Bandai chogokin line and some offerings from Banpresto (inc. Action Gokins, Perfect Transform V Gundam). Generally not as detailed as models though.

the new HGUC molds have more detail i've seen the banpresto action gokins, the quality is not nice. the diecast crane catcher prize toys have better quality. but i think they are MSIA size.

so if its real gold plating then does that mean you save the stems after you built this thing? or shave the gold off the stems melt it down and make a ring out of it? simply crazy

too expensive, then again if you have cash to burn, this baby is only 1 of 30 worldwide. jewelers can separate the gold from the unused sprues
