Can anyone here post some pics of the MG Hyakushiki (gold plated version). I was thinking of buying this kit, but I'm affraid of the spru marks like on some of the other MG special coating kits. I have a coated GPO1FB where the spru marks are all in the wrong place and it looks like BLEEP.

MG hyakushiki's gold plated sprues are designed for the plating, so the spru marks are hidden "behind" the visible surface. You can buy it without worry. Other special edition kits' original designs are not intended for plating, and bandai obviously won't bother spending money to redesign/make moulds just for some limited production. Therefore they have those ugly injection points.

That shiki looks very nice... but don't plated models lose their plating over time? I wonder if it's the same for the shiki...

I have the gold plated HG Hyaku-shiki. I think it looks quite good as well. I'm sure the MG is even better.
