Wow, I used to hate those gold joints, but now I think they are growing on me. That's one awesome looking MG. I wish I had the time and money.

MG Strike Freedom will be available before December ends. or before Christmas day. as for the Philippines, i bet, it will be after a week or two after the release day. great time for our 13th Month Pay. hehehe. as for the Internal Frame difference of the normal version & the special option version: Normal Version - will use the same gold color plastic used in the 1/60 Strike Freedom [Lightning Edition]. Special Options Version - since there's no official photos released of the special option parts set, speculation-wise, it will have the same Gold Plated parts like Hyaku-Shiki or Gold Frame Amatu. aside from the gold plated parts, it will also have a custom base/stand; Dragoon Effect Parts; Poster. IMHO, i rather prefer the Gold Color Paint version of the EMSiA Hyaku-Shiki over the Gold Plated ones.

I received the Special version on Thursday. A nice pleasant surprise before the new year as I didn't expect Rainbow Ten to ship it until after the New Year holidays. ;D The box is quite big for a MG. The box is as big as the MG Sazabi, except that its depth is the same as MG Freedom's. It also includes a nice A4 size (I think) clear poster of "Show Down - Strike Freedom vs Destiny". The additional stand is in a nice translucent blue color. I don't think this stand is custom-made for this model, as it looks virtually as the one that released by Bandai recently with a cost of 500yen. Well, I must admit that, as a special version, I think Bandai should do better than it currently has done for this model. Not all the internal frames are gold-plated. Instead, the only gold-plated parts are the joints and internal parts that are visible after the model is completed. Even the parts under the feet are not gold-plated. Also, some gold-plated parts are not under-gated. And come on, why can't Bandai include two beam shields instead of only one in the special version? As a collector's item, I really like this special version. You get a different manual from the normal version (I think, 'cos the manual stated "Full Burst mode" on it). The gold-plated parts really look much better than the the non-plated ones. The color of the additional stand also looks nice. The dragoon effect parts are nice, but I think I will have a nightmare with the clear rods that support the dragoons, as they are all straight and you need to bend them at the correct positions with the correct angles. I think the most disappointing parts for me are that the gold-color parts under the feet and the inner legs are not gold-plated. Why gives us 2 nice stands and all the other visible joints in nice gold-plated color, while the model cannot raise its feet or bend its knees as this will expose its dull-looking parts? I think I will need to paint this model, which means I won't be building this model in the near future. However, I still prefer the special version, as I don't think I can paint the joints in such nice gold-plated color. (My painting skill is poor.) ;D
