guys, anyone who's using gundam paint markers?
i just need a few info..
are they opaque?
i also need info on how the pen tip is? is it something like 0.5 like a tech pen? since i heard they are used for linings on gundam kits.
i bought some paint markers but the tip is like as thick as sharpies, i need something thinner or smaller and opaque?

I've only started using Gundam markers late last year...so I hope my response can help you.
So far, I discovered that there are 2 types of markers...one that is easily wipe-able (water based) and the other isn't.
For panel lining, I use the water based one, which comes in blavk and grey. The water based markers come in 2 type of tips - "Fine" and "Thick" and black is available in both tips.
For the rest of the colours...the paint is permanent and requires thinner to remove them. For example, pink, red, blue etc. I hope that helps.

No problem, glad to be of help. With regards to the other colours having "fine tips"...negative is the answer I get from the modellers I spoke with. Are you a hard-core modeller? I'm not, that's why I buy the Master Grade kits. The newer ones look great without any painting. Most of the time I use the makers to "touch-up" on my kits. Eg. Zaku II's eyes etc. In my life, I've only "painted" 3 MG kits and they're all pretty basic...as I want them to look "toy-like" and er, I fiddle with them so I didn't purchase an air-brush and didn't learn skills like shading etc.

thanks, im not really a hard core modeller, im steal new at customizing some of the robots, i was having a hard time painting some detail work, specially using enamel on those tight spots, thats why i asked if gundam paint markers has fine tip, i need something that will be like a rotring/steadler tech pen 0.5 thick tips so i can do details(like thin fine lines). i need it for something like that, with the ink should be opaque so i can just color it without the worry of the old color showing up(like water base color, i think). specially now that i will customize a 5 inch getter, i really need a fine tip. thanks for the info, hopefully someone here knows a brand that i can use.
