I just got the Destroy, it only took 4 days from hlj.com. This thing is humungous. Definitely the biggest box ive ever had when buying a gundam. I'll put up some pictures after finals... I also won an ebay auction and finally got a Metal Material Strike....

Well, I looked at pictures of the HCM questions link of the Destroy... those pictures will always be better than mine, but I am reposting pics from my reorganized collection again... very soon... so you can see how big the Destroy is.... the box is ridicolous....

What are some other features (gimmicks) of the Destroy Gundam? I know it sort of transforms.

I scored an HCM Pro Destroy Gundam off of eBay for a really good price. It arrived today. PROS: First off, I like the packaging for this one. The figure is secured in a molded clear plastic shell with no tape or wire ties. The figure is a nice size--huge when compared to the other 1/200 scale HCM Pros. It has detent mechanisms everywhere--nice clicky movements that help this big boy hold its positions. There is decent articulation though jointed fingers for a figure this size would've been a nice touch. I love the forearm-firing gimmick! This is not something you see very often on a Gundam figure. It's nicely done with the spring hidden within the forearm. It is constructed of nice sturdy ABS and POM plastics as we've come to expect from the HCM Pro line. Bandai provides a clear stand and an extra sword weapon for the HCM Pro Impulse Gundam. Additionally, there's an extra set of hands (splayed). Oh yeah, it transforms! Mobile Suit mode to Mobile Armor mode.
CONS: The box could've been quite a bit smaller (lots of wasted space). Re: the figure, there is some overspray, and there are smudges here and there (minor). There are no opening hatches or removable panels--something I've come to expect with the HCM Pro series (oh well). It's back heavy. I'm not a fan of the Mobile Armor mode (Byg Zam-ish). The forearm shield/weapon detaches too easily.
OVERALL: A nice figure that's DX-like in feel and quality. I can't really complain given the price I got it for. It's fun to play with and makes for an impressive display piece.

I got mine a couple of days ago, courtesy of a 60% discount from HLJ.
Although I knew that the height mentioned was supposed to be 28cm "to the tip of the cannons", I was still slightly dissapointed by the size, because I'm still expecting that the size is comparable to the DX MSIA gundams.
However, after fiddling around with it for a while, I found it to be a real fun toy. With the cannons installed, it's back heavy, but the racheted joints keeps it from tumbling over. The rocket punch mechanism is also fun (shoots quite far), and I believe this is the only time a rocket punch has been installed on a Gundam. Transformation is very simple, yet solid, because the arms lock the backpack cannons in place.
I didn't know what to expect since this is the first time I ever bought a HCMPRO figure, but at the price that I got him, it's a steal, and I'm really impressed with the details. There's a glue smudge on the backpack cannons, but it's only a minor fault.
I can't seem to find any screw holes in this guy, does he use a snap-fit assembly?

Yeah, @ 60% off it was quite the steal. HLJ quickly ended the sale price for the Destroy though. It's not my favorite HCM Pro (I like the transforming ones), but it's not bad either. I recently got the HCM Pro Freedom Gundam @ 60% off to go with the Destroy.
