vf-1j = TV series Hikaru initial Valk Vf-1s = movie/TV series Hikaru final Valk other than the obvious color scheme difference & head that is sort of wrong Ok here goes. VF-1J is his first real Valk. That was his int he TV series. Later in the series Focker dies and Hikaru takes up the VF-1S with the yellow stripe The toys are medium grey for Focker and brite white for Hikaru in the Movie DYRL (Do you remember Love: Ai Oboetaimasuka) Hikaru is an already established pilot of rank. He belongs to the Skull Squadron and flies a VF-1A with red stripe. Later he upgrades to a VF-1S with red stripe.

"VF-1J is his first real Valk. That was his int he TV series."
That's what I said
"Hikaru is an already established pilot of rank. He belongs to the Skull Squadron and flies a VF-1A with red stripe. Later he upgrades to a VF-1S with red stripe."
That's what I said you just provided more detail, he didn't ask about the VF-1a
The only thing I can't remember is that in the TV series whether Hikaru's final Valk Vf-1s had a yellow or red stripe??

So the Hikaru's skull squadron Valk with red stripes is a toy's fantasy? Because he uses Focker's valk...

Lord Zarak:
nope, Hikaru uses it in the movie as his final strike armored valk
aside from the current low visibilitys and stealth there are no "fantasy" Vf-1 in the 1/48 series

So the Hikaru's skull squadron Valk with red stripes is a toy's fantasy? Because he uses Focker's valk... Nope. The 1S with red stripe is shown on the Do you Remember Love movie not the TV series. So it is not a fantasy valk. So here is a rundown on what Hikaru used: TV series VF-1D - First one he used VF-1J - Used for the most part of the series VF-1S (yellow stripe)- when focker died DYRL movie VF-1A (red stripe) VT-1 Super Ostrich VF-1S (red stripe)- At the latter part of the movie. Chime in guys if I forgot something.

That's a good all inclusive summary Otaru.
Just curious and OT: When did the VE-1 appear in the series and who piloted it?
I don't remember seeing it at all.

I don't remember seeing a VE-1 in the series, but I distinctly remember it in a quick fighter-only cameo appearance in the movie - it was shortly after the battle scene at the beginning just after Hikaru and Minmay get lost....

The Hikaru VF-1A is the first Valkyrie that he uses in the DYRL (Do You Remember Love Movie). It's kinda like a beginners model that alot of new recruits use.

Look, basically all 1/48 Valkyries are the same except for colour and head designs it just depends which version/history you like, the TV show or the Movie.
Also another way to look at the different Valkyries is that the higher number of head lasers the higher in rank/skill the pilot usually is.

"Also another way to look at the different Valkyries is that the higher number of head lasers the higher in rank/skill the pilot usually is." So that would mean that Jack Archer who pilots the VF-1R is ranked higher than Roy Fokker??? cause not only does it have the standard two light lasers its also been "retrofitted" with an automated pulse cannon according to Toynami. Pulse cannon's got to be equal at least 3-4 light lasers ;D hehe sorry Chen just teasing.... ;D

If I'm not mistaken, Jack Archer is the main character created for the PS2 Robotech game. He's actually not in the TV series.
