There are a couple of Gundam that was issue under Bandai's Chogokin line, namely in the GD series. GD-53 the Hyaku-Shiki was the most recent one that I got in that. The Hyaku-Shiki is the great, good die cast content, but still, very posable and great colors. I also have the GD-44 Kado Senshi Zeta Gundam. I am truely dissapointed in that one, next to no die cast in that one and the sculpt just isn't that nice. Don't let the pictures on the box fool you. I know of the GD-60 Gundam ZZ. But haven't seen one up close out of the box. How does that one look? GD-16 is the RX-78, also has a couple of repaint color version. I need info on this one, this one is actually starting to get expensive. GD-20 is Char's Zaku. Again, I've seen the box but not the figure. GD-26 is the green Zaku II. And finally GD-28 is the RMG-79 Gundam. Are there any reviews on any on these Gundams posted here? Anybody know of any links where I can see more pictures and info of these Gundam? I have two out ot the six in the GD line. Maybe I'll get the other 4.

You should get the gd-60 as well as the metal material strike gundams. You might be a bit disapointed with gd-16 and gd-28 because they are very small and light and a bit dated. Also you would probably be happier if you start collecting the composite line as the figures are much larger and superior in design.

I have the Metal Material Launcher and Sword Strike Gundam, and I have been trying to find Metal Material Aile Strike Gundam at am affordable price. I have no interenst in get the Turn A Gundam because of the akward design and I heard that the shoulder or something on that one breaks easily. The Metal Composite line is new, only has two and has the GFF design. Technically there is only one Metal Composite, the RX-78-2 and a repaint in which they call Psycho Gundam. But the price on the Metal Composite isn't attractive at all. With the composite line, I'll wait until they make a Gundam that I want. Maybe a Zeta Z Gundam that isn't dissappointing and I would really like to see The Hazel Rx-121-2 Gundam.

I just placed an order for the GD-60 ZZ Gundam after looking at the previous thread under this catagory. I was surprised to find that they still have this at HLJ.com. I am waiting to see it in about a couple of weeks and see how it compares with the Hyaku-Shiki. A GD-16 repaint limited edition, the one that is Black and RED recently sold on Ebay, ending at well over 150USD. And according to that old HLJ link, the original price for the regular edition is around 35 USD. I know of one place where I can get the GD-16, the regular version, but that place is asking 70USD. Is it worth double the price? Also, in digging up some of the old threads, I found a GD-20 for around 50USD shipped. Maybe I'll get that one next.

I try not to pay too much of a premium for Gundam toys, even rare ones. The possibility that they'll be reissued, no matter how old, or even rendered obsolete by later releases, is just too great. So, as much I like GD-16, I wouldn't pay that much. I got mine for around $60 and I think I paid too much.

GD-16 Repaint for $150US? That’s just crazy. Even If it was limited to 1, I still I wouldn’t pay half that. Of course, I’m sure a lot of “completist” would. The GD-16 is worth about $60-$70 for regular versions as for its re-paints???….It was about the same price initially, 3 weeks ago stumbled on a white rolled out version for about $75US and a Titan version for $45US I though the prices were reasonable but passed on both.. I did get a Z gundam Green Driver version, I just couldn’t resist it but its price was nowhere near $150 rather about half that and I thought that was expensive already. I recently bought 4 RGM's GD-28 for a steal @ $12US a pop for my approx 1/144 diorama ;D Try looking up the Metal Grade RX-78 despite its flaws its one beautiful solid chunk of gundam metal. I’m certain Bandai won’t have the guts to re-issue this bad boy J

I got my ZZ Gundam chogokin a while back. It came with a limited edition 3D crystal laser sculpture. The ZZ itself is terrific. I wish Bandai had continued this line with the quality exemplified by the ZZ and Hyaku Shiki.

I have the ZZ (GD-60) and the other Zeta (GD044) with some die-cast. I prefer the ZZ, it's almost like a Transformer and it's heavy.

If you like the classic look of the RX-78, the Zakus, and the GM from the original MS Gundam anime, you might like GD chogokin versions. The RX-78 comes with a pewter figure of Amuro Ray. The green Zaku comes with a Dopp fighter (it's terrific), and the GM also comes with a vehicle.
Does anyone know what the scale of the ZZ chogokin is?

I understand the Kado Senshi and Kahen Senshi lines were supposed to be 1/144 scale.
