Hi, just wondering I'm using Mr Super Clear Flat for my top coat. Is it the right one if I want my gundam to be matt? I shake well and put the can in a pot of warm water before applying and my gundam looks misty white. Any advice on it? Thanks.

try putting the model under a lamp or sun for a few minutes, then spray again with flat topcoat. hope this helps.

alright thanks, i'll try that out next time. so aside from coat temperature, the temperature of the model affects the mist too?

yeah i think it helps IMO, the model should be heated a little to melt the matting agent on the matte topcoat when you spray the model. also remember to shake the can well before spraying.
i've also experienced this frosting when using semi-gloss top coat.
this does not happen when you mix your own matte topcoat and spray with AB though.

yeah you can. try using bottled hobby paints like Gunze Sangyo brand. try Flat Clear, nice ratio would be 2-part clear paint to 1-part Gunze Sangyo thinner. mix then spray with an airbrush. you can add few drops of Gloss Clear, this will make the paint spray out of the AB smoothly, and will add a nice sheen to the matte finish on the model.
