while im still pondering if i should change my collecting/hobby to gundam kits.... i stumble on this G-system Hi-Nu Gundam... it looks wickedly cool and it look like it has a mechanism. does anyone have it? i would love to know some details also if this one still needs to be painted. heres a link www.g-system-shop.com/cp-zlk/178_1_48_HI-NU/1.htm

It needs to be painted unles you pay more for the painting service. I was looking at this one myself. It is much cheaper. It uses a PG strike Gundam to convert to Hi-Nu. www.g-system-shop.com/cp-zlk/254_1-72%20RX-93-2Hi-Nu/1.htmSo with this kit you might get away with spending $200-250 usd or their larger kit which will cost you $660 usd.

thanks coldiron, so G-system means a paint job? or you mean that it converts to a much detailed model?
sorry for the questions, a real newbie here when it comes to gundam

G-system offers both unbuilt resin kits and fully built and painted resin kits. Completed kits can cost a bit more. They should have pricing on their site, unless they no longer offer that service.
The kits we posted links of are unbuilt and need to both be cleaned up (common in resin kits) built and painted.
The kit you posted is an entire kit. The 660usd price tag is unbuilt and un painted. Unlike standard gundam kits, which at least the plastic comes in the general color of the model, the resin kits come in a fleshy color sometimes.
The kit I posted costs around 90usd and you will need to purchase a perfect grade strike gundam that it uses as its base. It modifys the existing kit to look like HI Nu. It also needs lots of work and painting to look good.
From what I have read resin kits are not good kits to start on since they require so much detail and work to be worth while. Plus it is a very expensive kit to make mistakes on.

I was wrong about the price of the conversion kit. I thought I saw it for 88usd. G-system shows it costing 340usd. So it too is very expensive.
