Wow, not much love for the PG models ;D. I think it would be easier to first break it up between Action Figures and Model Kits. Bandai has so many lines in each format that they deserve their own categories. Haha
On the action figure side, I would have to say that the MMM, and MMGQ line is my favorite followed up closely by the 1/100 Metal Composite line. The Aile Strike MMM is definately my favorite action figure even ahead of the Metal Grade RX-78. It provides the best balance between posability and diecast/weight. The metal internal frame is OUTSTANDING. If I were to keep just one action figure out of my entire collection, it would be between that and the Metal Grade (only because this item is very rare and expensive)
On the model kit side, come on fellas.....it's gotta be the PG kits! ;D Set aside all of the known issues - cost, posability, durability, etc, there is no gundam line that even compares IMO. The size and detail of these kits are well worth the price. Price wise, I don't think they are over priced at all. Especially when you compare it to a $120.00 Metal Composite Gundam. And though there is difficulty in trying to keep a PG in a specific pose, I don't think anyone could argue that they are provide the best opporitunity for posing. They're not meant to be played with, so durability should not prevent anyone from purchasing one.
If we have to pick between the two categories though, I would have to ride the Perfect Grade train. Though there are many great lines, the Perfect Grade line truly shows off the extent of time, energy and engineering it takes to create a mech. From beginning designs to the end product that a consumer builds, it is the most impressive model line on the market.
In any event, that's just my few cents. I love all gundam!!!
