Hi all, I had just recently put on hold with a Japnese online shop, a Bandai SOC Grendizer GX-04 (colour version) Mint in Box for $200USD (166.50 for the Grendizer, 33.50 for shipping) from a Japanese site: e-toys.com toystown.shellhung.org/product_dx_gx_0.htmIs this a good price for one? Thats almost $300AUD!! Its probably the most expensive chogokin for me to collect to date! As I modify this message, they have raised their prices since I last confirmed the order with them. They have been so kind as to hold on to it for me till middle of August. (Just incase something should come up cheaper from eBay and a chance for me to save!!!) I can always email them to cancel it as long as I do it before times up. Any one know if by chance Bandai is thinking of releasing them with a "-R" type treatment in the coming future?? Cheers,

I think your quoted price is just a bit high....but the Grandizer is in great demand.
Last I checked on e-bay, they were bringing about $180.
As to the R-version....I haven't heard about it yet.

What is the meaning of the "R" version?

Hi admin1. Thanks for the tip. Well the grendizer itself is $166.50, with shipping $33.50. Thats registered airmail to Australia from Japan. so... and... R version, well Bandai has re-released the SOC Mazinger and others. The 'R' is just the code to say it is a "R"e-"release. like GX-01R.

is the gx 04 more rarer than the gx 04s? because i know you can get a gx 04s for about $200 shipped. i sold my gx o4 for $130 (c 9)and got a gx 04s (new)for $165 + shipping ($45).

Hi Wilson. Thats cheap. How long ago did you buy this? And where? IS that airmail delivery? Will they ship to Australia? As far as I know, the GX-04S is a special set containing all 3 space crafts (including the saucer) that can be attched to Grendizer..yes? no? Mind you, the GX-04 is C-10 mint in box mmm. maybe I should reconsider the offer then...

Hmmmm. well, thanks for the heads up guys.. Im starting to think maybe $165 may be a little expensive...I have 3 more weeks to pull out of the hold...so if anyone who may have a C9++ complete opened box Grendizer GX-04 for sale on a fair price, let me know! Im a collector, but I do like to open my boxed toys up now and then to play with them lol ;D You can email me at hyakushiki@iinet.net.au or leave me a message. Cheers!

Wilson, thanks for the url. I have sent them an email...so can only hope they may be able to source one. Though...on their enquiry form, it had this policy written: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Before using this inquery form, please read below and FAQ.
We can not reply to inqueries such as
1 Products availability. (availability displayed on list page) 2 availability of toys that you are looking for. ( we will offer serching service when the system is ready) 3 Preorders.( Preorder system will be available from next month!!) ---------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh well, you can only try.

Hello, What is the meaning of the "R" version? According to HLJ's Scott Hards, it stands for "revision". So you get more from just it being re- released ;D

Any one know if by chance Bandai is thinking of releasing them with a "-R" type treatment in the coming future?? Cheers, That may not be realized in the reissues. The R treatment IMO, was done exclusively only to the Mazinger bots basically to keep them in scale with the released Mazinger ladies. The beauty of it was, the abs thighs of GM and MZ were replaced with chromed zinc ;D Grendizer may not need any revision, it already has excellent sculpt and tooling as far as I can see.

I saw an MIB (parts/accessories assembled already and box and styro intact) GX-04 go for as much as US$200 as well. I think the GX-04 isn't really rare, but I cannot comprehend why it warrants prices higher than a GX-04S. Hyaku, you're better off getting a GX-04S! It's got the Marine and Land Spazers for basically the same price you are paying for a regular 04.

Thanks for the tip Omni, I have a bit of time left to see if there are any GX-04S set that is around the 200 mark. I just saw two on eBay..1 has 2 days to go..and the other 9 days! But Im not keeping my hopes up as I expect them to go beyond 200US..Don't know..just a gut feeling I have... keep searching...Keep searching for that all Super Alloy goodness

Gawd. A bit of rant. I just got told today that the Grendizer GX-04 I reserved and PAID FOR is actually NOT AVAILABLE! The seller didn't confirm the availability of the stock with his warehouse before I paid for it. I feel sick in the stomach.

sorry to hear that. i've been done like that as well. it sucks when a store says things like that - especially when guys like us in AUS don't have any other options but to buy from OS.

Hey NT-1, HLJ is offering the SOC GX-04B BLack Grendizer again. Check it out here: www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljpage.cgi?BAN900614 At last I was able to order a Grendizer already. I'm not particular about whether it's a variant or not, just as long as I have it!
