Anyone remember the two Beetleborg figures that were released in the US from the Beetle Fighter line of Japan? In Japan, one was BANDAI BEETLE FIGHTER DX CHOGOKIN GD-01 LARGE SHELL GOD and the other was a variant (bluish) with a different head. Each had unique swords as well. The yellow one went by Roboborg, in the US, while the variant with the new head was called Boron. I have one of each of these. The clone of the Japanese release has been opened, but for display only, and is MIB. The blue variant in MISB. The Japanese one appears to list for $120, which seems a bit insane but ok. It is my understanding that there is no difference in the actual toy from the Japanese release and the US release save packaging. If you have interest, please just drop a line on this thread. I can try and post pictures if you like as well. You can get these from me cheap, if you want them. My preferred payment method is PayPal. Here's a link to my eBay feedback since I am new to the forums. I have done deals with Matt Alt before, if he can remember back that far. ;D [edit] I should probably mention that the displayed Roboborg has an unapplied sticker sheet and all paperwork. The little catalog even has a pic of the Power Ranger Astro Megazord Jumbo that had a very short run in the US. Come to think of it, I have an extra one of those too.

Hi and welcome to the BBS. Just to clarify, you are selling US versions of each toy, right? Then you refer to a "clone", that is just the US version right? If you have any Japanese boxed of them I may be interested. Thanks. Ed admin@robot-japan.com

Thank you for the welcome, admin-1.
To your question, by clone, I did indeed mean that they are the US versions of the link I provided. Or rather I should say, one is the US version (the gold one named Roboborg is exactly like the link, but US packaging) and the blue one, Boron, was only available in the States.
Since they are not Japanese packaging, you may not be interested, but the Boron, being a US only variant, does not have a Japanese counterpart.
BTW, I love the forum. I spent a number of days just reading before I even posted anything. Great info a'plenty here!

Excellent, glad to have you here. If I had room (which I don't) then I would love them. Someone else will snatch them up. Good luck on your sale. I was asking if they were Japanese because the J- packaging is a bonus that would sway me (and warrant the storage space). For now I'm in a cramped apartment

Don't know why I just didn't do this to begin with. Anyway, just post here if you have interest. Thank you!

Hello, Washubot. These 2 items are the only Beetleborgs that I have, but thank you for your interest.
On another note, it looks as if Roboborg (the yellow one) is sold, pending sorting the particulars. Boron, the green one that is a North American exclusive, is still available.
Thanks to those that have responded.
