Just remove it and try again. Acrylic is easy to remove. Thin the paint and stir well. Dab just enough to cover the spot once and do not touch again. Let it dry. Acrylic dries in about 10 minutes. Apply another coat if needed. You are not going to get factory results. For that you you will need an airbrush or a tamiya synthetic lacquer spray can. Not to mention stripping the paint and sanding, priming and multiple thin coats of paint. This is touch up work. If done right it can look good enough. Thinner did the trick! No more blotchy paint. I literally have that spot now looking like it came from the factory without ever having a blemish on that area Thanks again for the tips, guys! Can you post a before and after pic?

Of course after asking the question earlier today, I just received notice that NY shipped my GX-78

I placed an order from Nippon Yasan. I've never ordered from them before. The status changed to "Preparation in Progress" and it has been like that for a few days. Does anyone know how long it typically is in this status and how long to ship (have a valid tracking number)? N-Y is quite slow in their warehouse prep to actual shipping. I've had orders hang for 2 weeks sometimes, and I start to think they forgot it in the warehouse. The next day I get a tracking number. They are one of the slowest Japanese sellers in getting your stuff out (even if you paid for Expedited Shipping). We only tolerate this because their PO pricing is sometimes better (but not always, due to their inflated shipping costs). Cool thanks. I only ordered this last week too, so figured I was last in line to get processed. But ya, I only went with them cuz they were the only Japanese retailer left I was able to order from this late in the game. Luckily I'm in no rush since I only got it to go with GX-72B, which my friend won't get to me for a while anyway.

Did anyone have it shipped? I got mine last week and the packaging from Lego was pretty terrible. Luckily 1 box is fine but the other has a noticeably pushed in corner. I generally keep boxes of more expensive items so this qualifies. A friend also ordered 2 and one of his boxes was in terrible shape. Wondering if this is a trend. By the way, just checked the Lego store online and it's still available for VIPs (free to sign up).

My Lego Voltron arrived in similar fashion. Not as bad as yours. But ya, I'd be annoyed about those dinged corners.

Damn.... price is good compared to the SDCC scalpers... So much more affordable Really thinking hard, do I need it haha Price isn't bad compared to ebay. After shipping, you're still saving a little. You only have a day to decide.....

Got one of these at the con and it's quite a nice piece. While I don't normally go for black repaints, I liked that this one was themed to fit with the upcoming Dragonzord. Seeing as how fighting mode or whatever is my favorite combination from the original show, it was an fairly easy sell. Bad news though, that I didn't notice until after I was home, his left shoulder is missing its ratchets. Since everything is reasonably tight, it's not a huge problem at the moment, but I'm sure it'll be an issue in the future. I've emailed bluefin about a replacement for the arm or mammoth or w/e is easiest. Never had to deal with their customer service before but I don't have a ton of faith about a fix. I thought about taking it apart myself and seeing if maybe it was something that could be remedied on my own. But without any super obvious ways to disassemble the arm (I see screw covers with paint on them that'd almost certainly get chewed up) I guess I'll have to sit tight and see what happens. Anyone had experience with Bluefin's direct CS for replacement parts? Just to clarify, you think you have a defective copy, or do you suspect it might be a flaw in the figure? I'm asking because my friend picked me up a copy from the con and I'm pretty sure I won't have it in hand for months.

A friend was able to snag me a GX-72B ($300 + tax). Now I need to get a Dragonzord to go with it. Are there still any places that is offering it at a discount, or do I need to pony up MSRP?

Any chance this will be made available post-convention? Kind of like how Hasbro sells its convention exclusives on its own website a few weeks later?

I had a minor issue with the shoulder locks. Like many, one side was fine but the other was very hard to lock in securely. By no means a deal breaker.

I'm unfamiliar with SOC in general. Has there been a case where Bandai reissued a figure very quickly, or do they generally tend to wait a few (or many) years? Given how much people want this figure, I'm surprised they don't reissue as quickly as they can. Just trying to get a better understanding of why Bandai would wait. I think someone also previously mentioned it could be a factory issue?

The Lego set looks amazing, but I'm having some sticker shock. Do you guys think this thing will really sell out? I'm not familiar with collecting Legos, so not sure if this is something to jump on ASAP, or wait out for a sale....

I would love a SOC version of VLD. And without giving anything away, the final "boss" from season 6 in SOC form would also be awesome.

The coupon is good for one use. But if you're like me and realize you forgot to buy something after using it once, you can check out as guest and use it again =)

I've used Anime Export for 2 orders and I've been lucky so far. The first order was flawless. The second order, which was this year, had an error, but in my favor. They sent me the wrong MP Transformer, but the one they sent was one I wanted anyway, and more expensive. Even though it worked out, it easily could've gone the other way. And I always feel a little nervous importing things from Japan on my own. Good luck with your orders.
