I’m burnt out on Voltron and Bandai Reissues. So definitely no interest in buying fourth one. 😛

I don’t think it’s reissue I just think that’s just some vendors or USA getting their delayed stock in.

Yeah be nice to see this side by side with SoC GGG. Though that wing span makes me think twice buying this. Not my photo but pretty small... kinda disappointing View AttachmentAh yeah small for me too....it’s pass besides I’m locked in for Pose+ GGG. Thanks

EKnight buyers heads up I just recieved my DX Voltes V without any email notification of it being shipped. I just see big box at my door wasn’t expecting anything today. My order is also with eKnight...thru which carrier did they used? USPS, UPS, FedEx? If you login in your account at eKnight, was your order completed or still pending? It was pending yesterday and no tracking info. eKnight customer service responded to my email yesterday as well stating they are backed up and short staff. Next day...poof...DX Voltes V via UPS Ground and completed transaction in my eKnight account. 🤷

I share similar sentiment, though my experience with DX Voltes is very positive, aside my initial failed combination frustration. The box, the size, the loads of parts, sound and light gimmicks, and the fit and finish all yells quality. It makes you giggle like a kid playing it the first few times. So it is something special. But the adult in me agrees that, as grand as this set comes, it did not bring much surprises or innovation. Just a very straight forward bigger GX-31 with some improvements. POSE+ Baikanfu deserves better praise on the mere toy design, since it did what all previous Baikanfu toys can't, with a very unique approach on the combination and a perfect execution (minus the white plastic hip cover painted red that prone to paint wear, and a finger that loves to pop out). Tough call. The accessories are plentiful and the sound light gimmicks are fun. But as you said, there's not much innovation. The mechanics on the Frigate's thighs should have been applied on the shoulders to hide the holes. I didn’t know the SOC Voltes V GX-31 had improved hip articulation, shoulder articulation, Articulated fingers, chest LEDs, sound effects and Voltes V base. If you’re not happy with it I’m sure there’s collectors here that would be more than happy take it off your hands. I fail to see where I said I wasn't happy with it. The point was discussing the merits of what makes the choice TOTY. I'm comparing the two and why I find the Pose+ Baikanfu the better, NAY, the best choice from the rest. While fun, adding lights and sound gimmicks isn't innovation. Innovation would have been being able to implement waist and abdominal movement for the Voltes V given how it combines. That would have been a wow factor. And yes, it is for the most part still the same areas of articulation with some improvements on the range of motion in my opinion. I mean even the Action Toys Voltes V has about the same range of motion as the DX. I would like to see Action Toys (same company that does Pose+) to do their take on Voltes V under the Pose+ line though. DX Voltes V is a fun toy but for me, Pose+ Baikanfu is more fun and doesn't have the nostalgia factor to support it. I don't even know anything about Baikanfu yet my vote goes to it just for what the toy brings. What are the merits, standards or characteristics of Toy of the year? Where is this information posted at? I’m just pointing out you said this nothing but an oversized GX-31 with no improvements which isn’t correct. For me Voltes V is an improvement from DX Combattler V in articulation. DX Voltes is 2 inches taller and pound heavier than Baikanfu and is 5 vehicle combiner. So we are comparing two different styles of mecha. Baikanfu is great and i have it close second but the fingers fall off easily and doesn’t have Leina figure like SOC.

Since I can only choose one, I will go with Pose+ Baikanfu. It's design and engineering beats everything nominated. 3 figures that nest within each other and still is very posable. The figure has heft and nice paint applications. I do feel Voltes V might get the most votes just because of the fandom's nostalgia but for me it's just an oversized SOC. Nothing is new here and in fact even falls short on some things (ugly holes on the shoulders) I didn’t know the SOC Voltes V GX-31 had improved hip articulation, shoulder articulation, Articulated fingers, chest LEDs, sound effects and Voltes V base. If you’re not happy with it I’m sure there’s collectors here that would be more than happy take it off your hands.

LOL a Typo is what hehe. I'll TRY to fix that. Ok , I can include include Flame Toys OP and DX Fokker. But one vote per member please. I KNOW it will be hard but that's what makes it fun. There can be ONE winner!! Haha Lol oh man no wonder why I was like what is this baby thread or something like toys for tottys? 😂 I’m only one that noticed?

BTW the subject title...throws me off to point I ignored the thread in the beginning.
Should it be “Toy Of The Year”? What’s the other T for?

Crazy man I see lot of collectors with least two DX Voltes V. Makes you wonder who or what vendor will come up short with their stock. Glad I just got one for now but it would drive me crazy seeing all these dudes with their new DX Voltes V everyday.

I knew to order two just in case myself. I knew Voltes V collectors would be buying two or more of these DX VoltesV. It doesn’t matter the price they are that passionate as I said during first pages of this thread don’t sleep on Voltes V.

Been on fence getting this but the bright Blue Wings are little too much contrast for me. Yeah. Feel the same here, as if the designers of the Black Wing never looked at the colors of the SOC Dancouga. Black Wing doesn't even look that saturated in the show, and definitely has a lot of room to tone down the colors and still look quite faithful and matching Dancouga a lot better. Yep least save good $200-$250 for something else. 😜 but I had this in my cart couple times but couldn’t pull the trigger

That makes me worry about other US retailers. My two-cent opinion - I’m more confident with BBTS or eKnight availability Yeah eknight requested a deposit to secure I assume bbts did as well. Maybe a Filipino Voltes V cartel group raided warehouses to get remaining DX Voltes V to corner the market and raise it’s stock value more 😂
