Am I wrong ? You just post thumbnails in collection Dx... BTW, you got a good collection too. I noticed you have a spec Layzner. How is it really (small) ? I gave up with spec line because of the poor joint quality of the first (and last) I bought : the Eva. But the nadesico looks great.
Here are my news about my collection : I am waiting for my last items : Gx-04S Grendizer set - GX-01R+ Mazinger Z Tamashii Nation - GX-01X Motorized Hangar (in function !) - a pair of diecast sword for Voltes V - the Mazinger Z metalic box and the first release of GX-05 Daiku Maryu Gaiking...
The real news about my collection is that I want to have in double for display, all Soc which can transform or combine !... because I will create an exhibition about toys and robots. I want to show toys and particularly the collectors concept. It will be a kind of "new drugs for old kids". But you know, it's not really new... Our fathers played with Dinky Toys when they wer kids, and some started to collect them after their childhood... ( look at the prices of these now). ...
and I have to buy that F****ing great Daïmos ! I can't stand it !... I sold my popy version few years ago (stupid boy) !

Lejam, Layznx is about 6 inches tall (about an inch less than GX01). I absolutely love this guy. Though he is mostly plastic... He is still super cool. Plus he has sound effects.
I am pretty pleased with the SPECs. However, I have not opened any of the EVA's (I have way too many EVA's). Oh yeah, my Dragonar SPEC is on its way... I can't wait! I will ask for the Black Selena for Christmas!

Lejam, a lot of the elevators have ceased to work--faulty mechanism. Mine and tons of others have stopped moving. This is one of the most disappointing SOC release ever. This used to be one of the highlights of my collection. Now it is just static.

Mine is working... but it seems to not longer... by your words and what everybody's talking about this toy. My opinion is to not fear to open this toy to change the electronic inside and / or the engine which is probably not enough powerfull to raise the mazinger... and faty boss robot too ! I have to open mine to discover how it's made. Has someone encounter the same problem as Mazfan ? I will check threw the web if there is something about repairing this toy...

Here is a wiky link to increase your knowledge : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Warrior_Gold_Lightan#Lightan_RobotsThe tamashii link : tamashii.jp-network.co.jp/item/itemlist.php?pref=65in english but not all warriors showed : english.tamashii.jp/item/itemlist.php?pref=65These toys are allmost full DIECAST with good design and transforming mecanism turn them in a luxuary lighter. You can find two sets of six warriors each inside : set 1 set 2 The design of these robots is an hommage of a luxuary french brand which is creating beautifull objects since 1872. The "briquet dupont" (Dupont lighter) is one of the most stylishness lighter in the world. Design of the Goldlightan mecha belongs to the old fashion style we had after during the 60's... lighter, cigare, whisky... pop culture and lounge attitude... it's was and it still is very trendy. It is the official james Bond lighter. The Dupont website (english version) : www.st-dupont.com/usa/catalogue_detail.php?id_gam=3&type=line&id_cat_sel=18There is a Dupont's collectors club : www.dupontcollector.com/This is the father of the gold lightan : The Gold Diamond Head LighterAbout the toys, it is a very beautifull object.. less poseable than the soc version but it's well made and keeps a vintage touch (with a lot of diecast)... Man, this quote made me really want to have these...

I collect every regular release but will pick and choose the color variations (so far the only non-regular releases I own are GX-01B, GX-02B,GX-04B, and GX-06M and the Mazinger Angels which was just a purchase outa boredom). Moneys tight right now so I'm just sticking with the regulars but I haven't picked up anything since Ideon and really need to get on the ball.

After Ideon, there is one soc I considerate as a must have : GOD MARS ! It's heavy ! It's diecast ! It combines ! ok well... it's expensive !...
It depends on what you most like in a soc : - vintage touch - combine mecanism and transforming option - size and of course the reference to a robot you like.
Tell me the budget you have and/or the soc you like and I can give you some infos about it...

Thanks for the reply. On the link that I posted, on the bottom right there are 3 gold lightans that I never seen before. The last one looks a bit like the takara robo watch.
I love the gold lightans. If you never had one you got to get it. Its solid heavy, sweet!
Be careful of Godmars. It kind of sux. Its really bricky. Only the arm robots are less like a brick. Also there are engineering problems.
The elbows on all the robots except sphinx and gaia are really flimsy. They seem like they will break off eventually.
Also the connection of my Uranus to Godmars is non-existent on mine. His left arm keeps falling out of the socket. I however do not have this problem with the other arm. Go figure.
Lastly, its not that detailed.
Truthfully I had more fun with the fifty cent 3 ships that combine.
BTW how do u post a pic?

You are right ! I never seen these 3 robots before... Bandai will probably launch a new wave of llightans. now it's a kind of line with new release... My godmars is fine. It keeps all arms and feet on. to post a pic, you click on this button then you insert the image url between the two "markers". Reverse method : you paste the url, highlight it, then press the same button. It's only available when you use the "quote" or "modify" button.
