i hope Bandai decides to release the SRC Big-O, i never was able to get the SoC. Why not? It's now pretty much on sale ranging from ¥9000 to ¥11,000. Here's one for example. www.hlj.com/product/BAN956922/Sci

Looks like the one in my link is now gone. Hope it was you droutmaster that got it. There'sa few weapon sets in Mandarake available from starting at ¥15,000 yen. Used though but everything I've bought from them so far was practically new.

The weapon set price is absolutely ridiculous, I found one and it's worth twice the price of what I paid for my Big-O. I'm really pissed at Bandai for making this an exclusive item. I refuse to buy the weapon set at these prices knowing I can buy a really large and really good chogokin at that price! If I ever find one at 1/3 the price I'll immediately dive into it.

He good thing about GX-48 is that it does not need the set to enjoy this amazing figure.

He good thing about GX-48 is that it does not need the set to enjoy this amazing figure. True but the other accessories would make this Big-O even more amazing. I do love mine and I think can live without the extra stuff but it still pisses me off why the hell would they make them an exclusive that made the price go up. The price of soc Big-O along with the current ridiculous price of the accessory pack exceeds the price of the Max Gokin Big-O. If Bandai ever releases the src Big-O, I'd bet he'd have a ton more accessories than the soc version and will probably be include the cannon arms and his final attack move......and I'd buy it Edit: I'm planning on making the chains if I have the time since it's gonna a simple accessory to make since my job is making jewelry. The car would be a real challenge considering how small it is making detailing a pain in the butt.

Hmm. Not really. Unless you can find the Max Gokin for $300. I paid less than that for my GX-48 including the set. I scored my weapon set for same price it sold for originally

Chain set would be super duper easy. I was going to do the same for mine until I scored my set. I had written it off. Still. I really only use the chains.

I scored my weapon set for same price it sold for originally It's hard to find a Max Gokin Big-O at $300 here and harder to find the soc weapon set for the original price. When I bought my soc Big-O I saw the Max Gokin version in one of the stores and they were selling it at $500. I'm happy with the Big-O even without the set but if I happen to come across one within a reasonable price I won't hesitate to buy it. You're so lucky getting one for almost the original price while they're selling them here for $300 The only hope I have right now is my japanese friend that's gonna go back to Japan but the problem is he's not into super robots so he might probably have a hard time trying to find this item at a decent price.

I really planned not to buy it. I was just gonna make my own chains. Might still make some longer ones. Super easy.

You'd be a fool if you didn't buy that set at that price! Even if you decide that you don't like it you can sell it for a better price or exchange it for something cool. For now I can live without it since the Big-O is just so cool that I regret not buying one when it first came out. Even if I had the Max Gokin one I think I'd still prefer the soc version since it's a more accurate representation of Big-O. Even the foot door on this Big-O opens exactly the same way it does in the anime.

Holy cow! ,! That means even if I found one for 130 + shipping it is still much more expensive than what originally it was listed for

Well it is if you are in Japan. For importers, bear in mind when the set was released yen rate was like 75 yen to a US dollar. Add on top of that we didn't have easy excess to tamashii exclusive items then like we do now, which means proxy fees. IIRC, I paid about $120 shipped back then when it was first released. Still very little bang for the buck, but if you can get it for $150 shipped or so it's not a whole lot more than initial release.
