Many thanks for the reply Gold. CM's Chizuru is on my wish list ;D
I do hope CM's or any other company comes out with other super robot pilots, both male and female (Koji, Sayaka, Tetsuya, Duke Freed, etc.)
I know that there will be a market for those figures.
Cheers,

Man, I've been wanting either Figma or Revoltech to make the Super Robot Pilots for a long time. It is weird that none of them have done so yet... well, with the exception of female EVA pilots that is.

Agreed, the most we ever got in terms of pilot figures are statues, with the occassional Koji Mego type figure but no company has every gone into making "Marvel Legends" type and scale pilot figures.

Hi all,
I wish (hope) that Bandai etc. are reading this. BTW, does anyone personally know Danny Choo? He is friends with the Good Smile/Figma big boss.
Wishful thinking......

I ended up acquiring the complete original 1976 Combattler V anime series. Each episode keeps getting better than the next. Definitely made me appreciate my SOC GX-50 a thousand times more, seeing how Bandai stayed true in the anime style plus they were generous to include all the weaponry in the anime.

I just got a gx-03 and i want a nambara base for my new combatler do be aware that the nambara base is more suited for the gx-50, tho you can chuck all the gx-03 ships into the base, some of the catches does not hold on to the gx-03 ships well. if i remember correctly, the head is one such part that does not fit well.

any comparisons or differences of gx-50 to gx-03??? this looks much better i think vis a vis gx-03 you might wana scout around the thread for comparison pics, quite a hotly discussed robot. if not, i could take some pics of mine and post it here, i had both on display, along with its base. in a nutshell, i hated the gx-03 big time, mine had a very loose and shaky feel in combiner mode, gx-50 is an improvement, but i still prefer the gx-31v more ;D

I also received my gx50 this week. I had the previous one and had been delaying getting this one for quite some time now! Seemed a bit redundat having the two but a big diecast combiner for less than 200 bucks these days feels like a steal... I only wish it had stickers like gx31v!

I laready saw bro gold's review on nambara base and it really suits the newer combatler gx50, but for me the gx03 is better that's why i would definitely get a nambara base for it soon

Do you own both? Im just curious,as I have two gx-50 and no Gx-03.But Ive NEVER heard anyone say Gx-03 is better....the only thing I can see is GX-03 comes with the spinning blades for the jet,I bought those separate for GX-50,thats a nice point of GX-03.But better?why?

Probably because of price it's still a nice figure if a little dated but the money you saved on getting it instead of GX-50 can be used towards the Nanbara base.

And it´s not like gx-50 is way better than the older one, just a few details here and there and a slightly different colour scheme. Size diference is not much noticeable. They should have made some stickers for it like gx-31v

Gold did a GX-50 review a couple of years back here's the link: www.robot-japan.com/item/gx-50-combattler-v-soc-review-by-gold.htmlDespite already having the GX-03 I eventually got GX-50, I use to think the same....that there wasn't "that" much difference between the two. However, after getting it in my hands I'll have to admit that those little detail difference adds a lot in how the piece looks overall. And there are subtle engineering revisions that make this piece better than GX-03 my most favorite one has to do with the Lander's(feet) upper back no rubbing against where it connects to the leg. Then there's the kneepads swivelling to transform into landing gears. Machine 4's concaving fin shape near its cockpit also no longer rubs against machine 3, lost of paint is minimized.........then there's the "tank-mode tribute to the vintage toy....there are others I didn't mention but those I did were the ones that stood out for me the most. I got GX-50 mainly because of the weapons effect. I tried to get rid of my GX-03 but based on its low market price I decided to use it as a permanent accessory to the Nabara Base.
