Dancouga was my first; 2005 I think? Dancouga was issue around 2003. It was a good SOC except for the loose head connection. My last SOC was GX-46.

Hi krimpov. Why don't you like GX50? I really dislike GX03.

The problem's not with the figure itself. I just don't dig the robot's design. Personal tastes, that's all. I thought the design would grow on me, but it did not. I do love those yo-yos, though. It might sound stupid, but that's probably what made me go for it and place the order despite my doubts. But as cool as they might be, yo-yos alone hardly justify the bill. Hence the regrets. For someone who loves the robots, who grew up with the series, it must be a must-have. For me, it was a mistake. Same story with the GX-31 Voltes V. And that one doesn't even have yo-yos. ... I wish Grendizer had yo-yos. Those spin saucers would make killer yo-yos. ;D

My last one was, or course, the GX-01R (Not including my most recent two chogokins). Since then I really can't afford SOCs right now while I'm in a sloooooow transition.

Been collecting for years, but have been collecting SOC's since the beginning and my last SOC was whatever came out last, Getter 1 OVA I believe.

Although my collection is pretty big, I'm only on like my second year of collecting. Let me clarify. Been collecting since a kid, but only strted with newer gokins past couple years. Previous collection was all Voltron stuff. Bought an soc and that ignited the bomb of collecting. Started with the cheaper ones EVA and Xabungle. I knew about socs for a long time but didn't bother with them until my other hobbies slowed down a bit for me to start collecting again. I have not stopped since. My basement cannot support anymore boxes!

I've seen Gold's excellent review. I didn't see those things as yo-yo's. But maybe I am not looking at the right things.

I started collecting in 1998 and have gotten quite a bit of the SOC's. Also got the Marmit mini-metal and a whole bunch of Banpresto plastic/vinyl stuff...

I've seen Gold's excellent review. I didn't see those things as yo-yo's. But maybe I am not looking at the right things. These are the yo-yo's. They don't look like traditional yo-yo's but if you've seen the show Co-Battler actually does the typical yo-yo things with them.

After much deliberation (somewhere between 11 minutes and 11 years), here’s my personal top 10 SOC’s:
1) GX-88 DaiRugger 2) GX-91 Getter 2 & Getter 3 3) GX-38 Iron Gear 4) GX-45 Shin Mazinger Z 5) GX-24 Tetsujin 28 6) GX-06G1 chrome Getter 1 7) GX-48 Big O 8) GX-37 King Joe 9) GX-73 Great Mazinger 10) GX-19 Getter Liger
I’m not gonna bother with my least favorites. Most of them would be the Eva Units anyhow (those really didn’t age well), and the rest I’d rather not slander just because I enjoy them a little less than the others.

After some thinking, Here are my Top 10 (in no particular order)
1) GX-31V (40th Anniversary) Voltes V 2) GX-43 Daimos 3) GX-50 Combattler (Better than GX-03) 4) GX-62 Danguard Ace (wish it were bigger, maybe a DX version ?) 5) GX-75 Mazinkaiser 6) GX-77 Gipsy Danger (surprisingly, if has good heft) 7) GX-71 Golion 8) GX-88 Dairugger XV 9) GX-64 Yamato 2199 10) was willing to leave this for GX-100, for now GX-76 Grendizer (somehow I like this version than GX-04).
