First looks at Deluxe-Class Leadfoot. Why didn't they give us a Deluxe weaponized Roadbuster?! And I hope this is an unfinished prototype.

Its actually a pretty good sculpt from what I remember from the movie. Just that what bugs me the most is Hasbro's usage of color plastic. Almost everytime, they manage to do something to ruin their otherwise pretty neat little figures. That beige plastic has to go. Give it some medium metallic grey with a warm tint, or dark grey like what metal should look like. Not colors of a ice cream or root beer float.
The white belly on Deluxe Barracade, the blue on Leader and Voyager Ironhide, the maroon red on Sentinel Prime, the red turtle neck & toes of Leader Prime from TF2...etc. all made the figures look worse than they should. Sometimes I really want to know who the hell in Hasbro made all those decisions. Even kids want something that look cool and accurate. Just like how it bugged a lot of us when we were little, that some G1 TF toys looked so off from the cartoon designs (Starscream, Ironhide, Ratchet...LOL).

I'm probably late for the party but I didn't see this posted anywhere:
Ultimate Prime looks to be a Voyager rather than a Leader or Supreme Class....kind of sucks but on the brighter side I can justify easily passing up on it. So as it turns out, Jetwing Prime IS the definitive version of Leader Prime (save for the lack of paint apps)

I saw the Ultimate Prime in person, and it was an easy pass. I have seen some awesome customs done with it. I have even seen the armor moded to fit a leader class prime. It has potential, just not out of the box. I am pretty much done with tf3 toys unless something in a future wave catches my eye.

I finally got my Takara Voyager Optimus Prime. I thought it was lost in the mail since it took longer time to arrive than what was anticipated!

So, I had the figure and the trailer for a day, I'll state my opinion.
First of, Optimus himself... who... the EFF... designed him?! The vehicle mode is full of gapes and exposed areas that makes it not solid. And the robot mode, oh, God... I'm not complaining about the transformation, but what the heck with the proportions?! The torso is small, the chest is wide, the legs are long, and the feet are gienormous!! The first Voyager Prime was miles better than this despite it being also not screen-accurate! But I didn't buy it for Optimus, I bought it for the trailer.
The trailer on the other hand is cool and an essential for DOTM/Live-action lines collectors. It got silver metallic paint all over it, a good storage for weapons, and it fits with the HFTD Voyager Prime. You can't peg the trailer, but you can try and remove the mud-flaps part to get the hole for the trailer. Or you can make sit on it and leave it like that and it still looks cool. Yeah, you could say it's just an empty box, but it "was" a weapon storage in the movie.
Would I recommend it? I don't know.. it's up to you. It's a shame this being Japanese exclusive, but if you really want it and you have the money, go for it. Or, you could wait till we get a KO version and you'll get it in a cheap price.

So as it turns out, Jetwing Prime IS the definitive version of Leader Prime (save for the lack of paint apps) To me, the definitve Prime has been out for quite some time, Buster Prime. No contest when putting any other Movie Prime besides it. The Jetwing Pack needs good paint too, and a bit too oversize for my taste. Having Buster Prime will do just fine I am surprised that Hasbro doesn't repackage Leader Starscream as part of the TF3 releases. The figure has great reviews, and I recently got the Masterpiece version and it is great, aside no wrist swivels and chicken legs can be tricky to balance the heavy guy. If Hasbro is really gearing the market towards kids, I don't see why they don't try to shove this well designed toy to the ignorant kids' hands as another 'new' toy with a new box when the movie hype is still there. Instead, they went out of their way to design Ultimate Prime. While looking pretty ridiculous to many adult collectors, not screen accurate in anyway, and with a giant price tag that scares many moms away from buying it for their kids...what exactly is Ultimate Prime supposed to achieve, really?

But I got my Jetwing OP last week and I just love its agressive demeanor. The wing accesory has the same effect as a "Fast Pack" would on a macross valk. If it had Buster's silver paint job it would have easily been the final best evolution of movie prime. I think its somewhat of a tie between the 2. Its kind of sad that I practically bought the same Leader OP mold 3x Its really too bad hasbro choose to release "Ultimate Prime" over this.

Lurker X, I heard that Buster Prime is somewhat compatible with the JetWing pack, but missing a few securing pegs here & there. My question for you is, are those parts with securing pegs on Jetwing Prime easily swappable with Buster Prime's, so you still retain the awesome look of Buster (all the silver paint and detail), but now with additional pegs to wear the Jetwing pack nicely? Or was there some plastic mismatch or pin connections that made it almost impossible to remove some parts?
Buster Prime with Jetwing pack seems to be the real Ultimate Prime, if one wants to go all out.
And yeah, I am hoping they will make a TF3 leader Megatron too. I have the first two, and they just don't cut it. First one was horrible, even after I painted it all silver, second one was better but still very wierd (huge non-articulated cannon arm, gimpy left arm, strange tank tread (non-)attachment to the body... I mean, what did Megatron do to Hasbro to deserve all these?! Lesser decepticons like Brawl & Starscream both have great Leader Class design & execution on the first go. (shrugs)

Anybody else feels sick of Hasbro releasing the unwanted characters that did not appear in the movie more that the ones that did?!
Lot of redecos and retools, lot of Bees, lot of HA scouts, but we have to wait a long time till we get Wheeljack, Soundwave, Leadfoot, Crowbar, Hatchet and Mirage! Like, hello! The fans want the characters from the actual movie. Not the ones that were never even intended to be in the movie! If we wanted a character that did not appear in the movie, give us Silverbolt. Not a green Sideswipe with Quickstrike's head or aqua Bumblebee or whatever you plan to release to fill the gaps...! And with that, you save a lot of budget to actually paint the figures. not just paint brush in a place or two and leave the rest unpainted plastic.

Well the only fastening difference between the Buster and the Jetwing Prime is that the JW has a hole where the bottom of the wings main (and only) lock inserts to lock the pack onto OP. So rather than cannibalizing Jetfire you'd probably be better off (and much easier) just drilling a similar hole onto buster's lower back Sorry for the blurry pictures. Buster/ Hasbro Prime (no insert hole) : Jetwing Prime's (w/ insert hole)

I Finally found Megatron. Looking for it was a pain, since all the voyagers I see everywhere are Ratchet and Starscream. No Primes, no Ironhide and no Megatron anywhere! It's like they vanished completely. Luckily, I found him in a Hamley store.
