I wonder if Max Factory will take into consideration the amount of pre-orders received before actually deciding if the Big-O project is a go. If so, with that asking price, this thing may go the way of the Dancouga Nova...

Hopefully not.
But as with any product, if a manufacturer doesn't see enough pre-orders, it runs the risk of being indefinitely delayed and/or canceled. The high price is probably a fairly good indication of a relatively low production run, though, so they probably are counting on selling fewer for more vs. selling more for less.

So, it comes with a Figma Dorothy? I doubt it will but for the high price, who knows...

No, Dorothy will be a co-sell only, I'd imagine.
Man, I love the texture of Big O... gah, that price though.... decisions, decisions...

That looks pretty nice but I'm happy with the SOC version, with that amount of money I'd probably get the Yamato Macross. But if you can afford it get it, it looks like an amazing figure.

This Big O is really nice but unless it comes with a lot of diecast & plenty of other accessories which exceeds Bandai's Big O , I find it hard to accept this type of pricing.

Well, it'll have about 4 inches of height and a pound of weight in its favor, along with LED lights, the chain anchors (part of the add-on set for the SOC), and maybe it'll have the arm guns - that remains to be seen. While the price hurts it doesn't seem as unreasonable as, say, the SDF-1 which is about the same size with almost no diecast and mostly molded plastic instead of paint. Hopefully Max Factory puts some nicely detented joints (that don't SHATTER ... *ahem*Gaogaigar*) in there to hold up those monstrous arms...

Big O is Great as a character but I'm gonna pass on this its the Price , I cant justify that one bit. The SOC is enough for me

I'm more interested in the Figma Dorothy... maybe they'll make Nendoroid Dorothy as well.

Looks like no arm guns, since the collar around the wrist is seamless with no place to open up. C'est la mal chance.

Yeah that's the thing every Maxfactory figure I own has a broken piece in it to varying degrees. From broken shoulder covers on Mazinkaiser to broken everything on my GGGG. Hopefully MF has improved QC because at this price and with MF's history they can't afford for a failure.

Goodsmile (Maxfactory) 's webpage for Big O is up. Click meHmm 1050 Grams (over a Kilo) 30CM (1 foot) tall. Out by April 2011 for 39800Yen Looks like the gimmicks are essentially what we've noted so far, no other new gimmicks. Gold

I keep forgetting how tall it is.
But still too expensive. At $250 I'd go for it, maybe even $300, just because it's Big-O.
