Dude, there's plenty of Non SOCs that are extremely high quality. Some I would say that are better than SOC quality. You just have to be picky. That applies to SOCs, too!

There is no need for me to acquire non-SOCs. I have most of my childhood robots that I want: Mazinger Z, Votes V, Grendizer, Gaiking, etc... The only one I am waiting for is Balatak (I want the SOC treatment).
Plus, it's great to have this one brand/one line focus. I am not bankrupted and I save on physical space as well.

Shinotaking.... The photo link you sent really helped! I now have transformed my Aquarion--Solar version--successfully. I went to bed disappointed last night because I was not able to out together my robot in the right way. Thats all different now and I am now super happy. The funny thing about transforming the completed SOCs is that half of the time it's all trial and error... With that in mind, I will not transform them back onto ships or other forms.

I am totally with your there Senpai TMZ... I remember when I bought Aquarion when it first came out and trying to Transform him was soooo frustrating. The Individual ships are cool, but to transform into any of the 3 modes was like pulling teeth. I enjoy that the engineering design is quite unique, but for this much effort for an Anime series that (IMO) isn't too popular, I would have preferred the toy to be Getter Robo/Shin Getter Robo considering that's what the combo system appears to be based on. Bandai probably would have sold more units too and could have had other variations, Ryoma Black Getter, Getter Dragon, etc... Oh well, Aquarion is still a good Chogokin.... ;D ~

I take it back... Now, I love my Aqaurion. I wouldn't have this much appreciation for it if I was not able to combine it properly. Yes, themazingerz, this is the most challenging transformation to date. The other two were: GX-46 and GX-34. Even with all of this love for Aquarion... I still will not venture away from SOCs. Oh yeah, I think that this is the biggest robot I have in my case. On solar mode, this robot is sure huge, shiny and majestic. Wait... Am I uber praising a non-SOC robot?

As i would say for your health and sanity don't ever approach the dengeki hobby SRX It's much more harder to combine than aquarion or all gokin i have seen . But you could get now the aquarion renewal version and make some crazy combo with aquarion assault ( and use the mugen punch part ! ).
