HELP!!! I just found this out after my friend told me an hour ago. I just won several of this criminal Baronkarlo today on ebay. Now, I'm not gonna pay a cent. Is there anybody who can advise how to report this to Ebay? I've won four items earlier. I can not risk this clown to give negative feedback on my perfect track record. Thank you in advance.

If I were you I would do the following: 1) Contact eBay: You can't get negative feedback as a buyer anymore on eBay. You can only get unpaid item strikes. But if you "won" 4 items from this guy and he filed 4 claims and they went unpaid that is more than enough to get suspended. The best way to report to eBay is to say, "I just found out the seller I purchases four items from is a scammer" and then point them to the similar post I made on the "Mego Museum" because that is publicly accessible without need to login: www.megomuseum.com/community/showthread.php?p=737003Be sure to point out the buyer is in Italy and ask what protections would you have if the seller screws you. 2) Ignore the Auctions: Another tact is to simply wait and see. Did he send you an invoice? My gut feeling tells me this guy wants to fly under the radar as much as possible so he might just let unpaid items "slide" since he's simply a con and doesn't want to bring more attention than need be. And heck, if he somehow filed an unpaid item dispute, you can respond as part of the dispute process "Look, this guy is a known scammer. Check this URL here." and force him to respond publicly. 3) Ask "baronkarlo" to Cancel: I will say I would not do this unless you have no other choice. But the other tact is to contact "baronkarlo" directly and say "Look, I want to cancel my purchases..." For all we know he wants to slink away and will cancel without issue. Or he might be a psycho and want to screw people over anyway he can. Very risky. I would only recommend doing points (1) and (2) above. I don't think a scammer will push for payment when he knows he risks getting busted. Point (3) is the most risky since it's unpredictable. Also, how will you pay if you pay with PayPal? If it's via credit card here is an idea that might force eBay to cancel the purchases: Contact your credit card company's security department. Explain to them simply, "Look, I won these items but after the fact I found out that the seller is a scammer..." and then ask them what would happen if you paid via PayPal, didn't receive items but PayPal/eBay can't help. Be very clear in saying "The seller is in Italy as well. Does that affect anything?" Good luck!

I'm the lead bidder on one lot, and within the 12 hour limit. So I have emailed ebay links to the discussions and asked them to remove my bids. We'll see what happens. Thanks all!

I wish the best for everyone who bought from the seller. Looking at his feedback only, he has sold items worth some money and pretty much all positive feedback from those buyers.
I had several of his items "watched" but more than I was willing to pay. It always makes me a little curious when someone dumps a big collection like this out there.
Again, best to any that did win auctions.

So if he sends me an invoice, and I did not pay, then it would be up to him to complain to eBay right? I already have a fraud concern email out to them right now.

He can send you an invoice, but it's only if he files an unpaid item dispute that you get put on the hook. If you don't pay after a dispute you get a strike on your account. 3 strikes and you are out of eBay.

And just like that, I'm outbid on the one auction I was winning. I am concerned for all the other folks out there.

Whoa! This sh*t is DEEEEEEEP! Thanks for the heads up, and I hope no one here is caught up in that clown's schemes. If ya are, I hope you come out winning and take that fker Down. Scammers need to be banned from ebay indefinitely. But, unfortunately, they come back under different account names and run the same scams over and over again until they get caught and banned once more. zozo-Mag

He'll get caught; and then come back under a different eBay alias account and continue scamming... He's like that evasive liquid material known as Mercury: You can see it, but can't touch it. Don't worry, slickers like him don't last long... sooner or later he'll end up in jail; just a matter of time and how he gets caught.
Write down a list of names of known eBay scammers, as well as vendors with whom you've had negative transactions in the past (failure to deliver an item, items broken, missing parts, items sold Not As Seen in the auction), etc... and keep the list beside your monitor, so you'll know which vendors to avoid when you shop at eBay.

The guy listed 162 (!!!) items last week. Vast majority ended yesterday and some will end today. So the question is this: If he actually has the items, will he ship what he has sold? Or will he cancel sales? Or will he do what he did before; take money, claim he shipped, and then disappear with the money and leaving the question of whether he had stuff or not to begin with. The thing is with 162 transactions, if he screws up at least 3-4 his account is toast and then eBay has all the proof they need. And personally, his dead silence considering the discussions happening on U.S. and Italian boards is disturbing. There was this slight nagging feeling I had when I first posted of “Maybe there’s a big misunderstanding...” but now that’s all gone. Honestly this is all creepy. Also, an Italian collector on the Mego Museum board says his avatar picture is not of him but a DEAD Italian collector. And now—as of today—he has changed his avatar to another picture of the same person: feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=baronkarloIf anyone, wins, pays and receives anything from him I know lots of people would like to know.
