I am both excited and curious about this release. I've never purchased anything from FP, but the thought of an original IP intrigues me. Where are Fans Project located? Are they a US company or From Asia(Japan)?? Like many I'm most familiar wih their third party releases.
Who knows? I might give this new figure a try!

When I dealt with them for the robotjapan crossfire group buy my trading with them was through Hong Kong. Their quality is excellent, and their engineering is top notch. Designs are great for the most part. Their best pieces would be their Bruticus additions and the City Commander.

Looks like the people who ordered directly from FP's site already got their Steel Cores already.

Looks like the people who ordered directly from FP's site already got their Steel Cores already. Where did you hear that? I am one of the people who ordered directly from FansProjectCore site, and my order is still pending. If you go to their site, it states that this figure is already sold out. But it still has the projected release date of July 31.

Yes some people have already received their order but most people's orders are still pending. No one has deciphered the order of which FP is shipping the products but it appears that the lower your order number is the higher chance yours gets shipped out early. Mine is pending as well.

Heh, of all those photos, all I'm reminded of is how tiny the Generations G2 Optimus Prime was... and how disappointed I was when even after putting on Battle Tanker, he still feels small next to upgraded Rodimus and Generations Prime... But I'm glad that Steel Core will indeed be a decent size next to the other Fansproject stuff. I just thought of something else. Does anybody suppose that since this is another "Warbot" that maybe they'll actually continue the comic that was included in the Warbot Defender instruction manual?

Maybe its just me . but the colors palette looks dull in vehicle mode.

The Core bot blue color should match with the main Body... Here is a little comparison I made : I don't know how FP managed the orders, maybe this pre-order call was a way to finance the Steelcore production...

Judging from what I've seen of the comic that comes with Steelcore, there are multiple "core" robots aside from the blue one, including yellow and red. For that reason I don't think this figure is necessarily supposed to have a perfectly matching chest robot as he's meant to be piloted by multiple alternate figures.

I think this figure looks 10x better looking than I thought after watching this video.. I kinda want one now. Gotta love Vangelus and his funny reviews.

From Fansprojectcore : This Product is Now Sold Out.
Thanks to all the Members that supported this first release! We are working hard to secure future releases with the manufacturer, so for those that have missed out, we're listening and hope to bring you this great product in the future!Last chance to get this is to go to TFCON and/or pray for a 2nd run. We'll be showing off a whole bunch of goodies at the 10 Year Anniversary of this great Canadian TF Show. Be sure to stop by and say hi. For members that have missed out on the run of Steel Cores, we will have a very limited number available for purchase from some cancelled orders and left over stock we had on the first run. For members who can't make it out to TFCON, we also had a small number of remaining Steel Cores that we didn't anticipate to be able to sell. We will be announcing those as soon as the first run of orders are fulfilled. So stay tuned for your chance to get in on the extra stock. It's gonna be very limited, so be sure to check back often.

Same here - still pending. I don't mind waiting when I pre-order something, but it does start to bug me when reviews and stuff start popping up weeks before I get mine. I will forgive FPC because they never specified an exact release date. But still, now that I've seen Vangelus's review, I just suddenly got more impatient especially since he made it sound so good!

Actually, FPC did specify a release date of 7/31. What irks me is that they made a statement that they will be at TFCon with unsold MW02 items that became available due to cancellations. WTF! What about the people who pre-ordered earlier and still did not receive their pre-orders! Bad move by FPC. Sent them a polite e-mail regarding this, and I am still waiting for a reply. I tell you, Fans Project makes awesome products, but their customer service sucks!
