An autobot redecco is nice; but it could be expensive for that kind of set : that means new heads scults + accessories... And economic period is not the best for taht kind of moves. News from TFSOURCE : We received bad news last night, unfortunately Diesel now won't be in until early/mid January. We want to update everyone as we've received many emails about getting this piece in time for Christmas and we want everyone to be able to plan accordingly for the holidays. tfsource.com/fansproject-customs/
The only good news, we received a final sample from fansproject. We'll put pictures up shortly and send over to Peaugh for review.(I prefer this than bad QC issues... You know what I mean...)

That sort of sucks for me. The only way I will be able to get it is when I am in HK in Jan. I can only hope that it is ready by then.

I kinda want Diesel as a stand alone figure. Looks like he isn't much shorter than the combined mode.

Superion is tiny versus all these bad boys. (Thanks to Quantron for the rescue)

"Fiddly transformations and stressed tabs" I got frustrated transforming Leader Class ROTF Prime, and it's such a durable toy. If I had bought this and managed to break any of it's part, I'm going to be super pissed-off because it's such a beautiful piece. I think it's too complicated which takes the fun out of it. , I think the new masterpiece cars represents the perfect transformers, they're very high quality, durable (haven't heard any news about them breaking) toys that captures the represented character very well that is just complex enough without being frustrating. Unfortunately, I think I'm passing FP's Menasor entirely.

Legs are just covered by cars : too bad they are not involved much in legs shell. FP really wanted to re-use each single piece of Diesel from alt mode to combiner mode. -> mathematic contest & riddle ! So overall it is genius but design is suffering a bit. Diesel trailer was a certainly a pain to consider and integrate in the whole transformations process.

What else could they do for the legs an transformation into combined mode? Tfc is doing the same thing with not defensor and his legs. Herc worked out well because of the way his construction vehicles turned into feet but I think with cars your pretty much stuck. They probably wanted to be more creative with it. I'm pretty stoked to watch this review when I get home from work.

I took a gander at the review on my lunch break at work - there's a TON of stuff coming apart and going back together, but there's also just as much stuff transforming proper so I don't see it as a negative. The transformation for the feet is pretty clever, actually, and it seems like the figure even has rubber pads on the bottom of the feet to make sure he's stable and doesn't do the splits.
I'm looking forward to getting this guy in hand. He seems fairly complex, but not as annoyingly complicated as FP Defender or anything.

FP really wanted to re-use each single piece of Diesel from alt mode to combiner mode. -> mathematic contest & riddle ! So overall it is genius but design is suffering a bit. Diesel trailer was a certainly a pain to consider and integrate in the whole transformations process. This is exactly how I imagine the engineering of the legs to be like. It has to be just some sort of slot for the cars to clip in. This is because they want to keep the scramble city aspect for this toy intact. Seems like a lot of people don't get the whole scramble city combiners in Transformers. Menasor, Defensor, Bruticus and Superion are scramble city combiners, meaning only the team leader is specific and the other 4 members can either be a arm or leg. Unlike the constructicons and the Predacons where for instance, Scapper is alway the right leg and Mixmaster can only be the left leg. For the Predacons, Headstrong and Tantrum can only be Legs etc... With the first two FP crossfire sets, being add ons, the scramble city effect wasn't there. So there Munitioner(Swindle) and Explorer(Blastoff) became specific, one was to be an arm and one a leg. Overall this isn't a total necessity. It just nice to have. Because the old G1 toy and the episode they created to market this feature exist. For some, they just like just using Dragstrip as a leg piece instead of the arm. I hate the delays. I should have this already but it was bumped to next month. It if it to come out mid January, it may conflict with Chinese New Year and that will likely push this one back to Februrary 2014 before we can receive it. Not unless they are shipping these out to the retailers now and they retailers get them by mid January.

Saw these pics over at FB, the Menasor looks nice, but they really gotta give us Aerialbots and Bruticus that are in scale. Gold
