You are supposed to make sure the spikes go in between the upper arm and elbow joint, you just don't leave them sticking up all bent man!

How sad news. After all this waiting and Bandai make a piece of junk like this? The Bandai CEO must be into fat legs. My bet is that the new version of the metaltech Grendizer will be the best and most accurate Grendizer ever made. I hope the dont screw that up like Bandai just did. Ive decided Im not buying this,it just plain blows. And that is straight from the Baron's mouth.LOL. I wouldnt put that kind of faith in Metaltech seeing its gonna be a 50$ item, how can it be the perfect Grendizer? That isnt enough money to put any quality or height into it.HLPro for me just doesnt cut it as a serious competitor, half of their items are vinyl, they dont have the experience it takes, sure they may put out a nice looking toy but perfect?no way, they are just a good bang for your buck company. The GiraGira basically is a fragile good looking piece of plastic and its probably the best thing they ever made.CMs has this in the bag.

Weird that they would show a toy for Shin Grendizer Anime before they announce the show. But my guess is we will see Shin Grendizer Anime in 2013. We don't even have Shin Great Mazinger yet! I'd rather see a conclusion to Shin Mazinger first. Talk about jumping the gun! The Bandai CEO must be into fat legs. Really? You think the executive staff had anything to do with the design? You are supposed to make sure the spikes go in between the upper arm and elbow joint, you just don't leave them sticking up all bent man! Look again. You have no control over that. The spikes sit right over the elbow joint. Bad QC? Maybe the elbows extend out of the forearms to accomodate that? I can't even see the elbow joint.

The spikes sit right over the elbow joint. Bad QC? What you need to do is pull off the screw crusher blades from the forearm. They are sort of glued in place... with a microdrop of glue. They'll pull off easy enough. Then you can rotate the blades so they don't rest on top of the joint and can easily go in between the upper arm and elbow joint gap. }D }D

No problem. ;D And don't worry, if you take your time the blades come off very easily. I have done the same thing to five different MT01s and no problem whatsoever. Just don't rip them off like Hulk Hogan would. ;D }D

If the size is similar, I'm wondering whether the SRC Grendizer can fit into the SOC spazers? If they do, it might be worthwhile to buy multiple copies to display them with the spazers, with the real SOC Grendizer standing free (if you like the design and the price is acceptable, that is).

yup its the Ken Ishikawa version, pretty cool actually that they did a tribute to that design. It looks like its still in the proto stages so design wise it could change.
perhaps later on they might make another Grendizer version like they did to Mazinger Z.

I got this pic from Chapsy's. What do you think about this Grendy proportion?

indeed, if they are going this route for the new Shin Grendizer anime then im ok with it specially if its Ken Ishikawa's design, He looks much stronger.
as for the Chapsy's pic, it looks pretty awesome.

May be SRC Grendy needs longer pair of legs, or just darker lower legs to blend better with his feet to make it look like he has long legs
