SRC Black Getter is Def nice figure. it hides SRC Getter 1's belly lot better too.
I picked up Black soon as it was available, then pounced on Red months later when it was on a nice sale.

you need both. slick play by bandai. the black has the red's guns, and the red has the black's tomahawks.

I have both. GTs arguement is valid. The SRC is a freaking tank. Youd have hard time breaking him. Excellent EXCELLENT SRC to have in your collection. On the otherhand, imho, Sentinel Getters are what got Sentinel on the toy maker map. Its amazing piece, again, imho. Cons are there. Especially the butt plug. But the cloth cape and many joint engineerings are done proper. Luxurious. For around $100 now, its a real nice gokin to own. Id be very sad if i missed him. Ok GGG. So do you have the black SRC Getter too? And what about the SOC? Do you recommend that as well? I missed it before. Bear in mind that the SRC Getter-1 is significantly smaller than the Sentinel/T-Rex Getters. You can check my pic on the previous page for it. And fwiw, since I have both SRC and S/T-Rex versions of Getter-1, the SRC is very very meh compared to the Sentinel/T-Rex version. The SRC Getter (both Red and Black versions) is really not worth more than 2000y and is just slightly better than the SRC God Sigma. You're better off just hunting and getting the SOC GX-52 if you're sticking with Bandai. It doesn't have a Black version, but it's a very solid SOC nonetheless. imho.

Great pictures again GTMQ8!!
I really wonder what they were thinking about with that waist joint being able to be exposed like that. It's still very nice looking otherwise though.

To be honest I don't mind the joints at all...what really bothers me is the box. It is very thin and can get scratched up and crushed way easier than regular toy boxes that we are used to.

Got bored yesterday so i decided to fiddle with the black and normal getter . Noticed that the knee joints for black getter became very loose and hard to stand..

Just got my Black Getter from AmiAmi today and absolutely LOVE it! I am going to order the normal color now at the end of the month when the SoC GX-70 Mazinger Z and Evolution Toys DA-35 Z Mazinger come out. Who knew venturing from the SoC path could be so rewarding and enlightening. This Getter may not be the heaviest but he has it where it counts and that's style and swagger!

A Very cool review as always....Love all the background audio. All the clicks and squeaks make the video much more rich. Also the LACK of background music is always welcome. And how the figure is handled while narrating is visually as informative as much as the narration itself.
This is a gold standard for Getter 1 figure imho. SRC and SOC Getter 1 are Awesome but Sentinel Getter is a masterpiece.
If i were to nit pick, i dont like the duck feet, his neck is odd, and his butt plug falls off too easy....imho. Otherwise, a brilliant figure, a lot of innovations were made by, then the relatively a new comer. Its obvious Bandai took notice, and THAT says alot about now the legendary Sentinel.
5Prostudio Carbotix 02 Getter 1 has a work cut out for them IF they are to out do Sentinel.

TJ does the stand plug stay on your copy? I had to keep the factory piece of tape on mine, falls out very easily.

anubis20 - It's gone over on the video review. Seems fine. The area I did have a problem with was actually one of the forearm spikes and a dab of ail polish on the male end took care of it. A Very cool review as always....Love all the background audio. All the clicks and squeaks make the video much more rich. Also the LACK of background music is always welcome. The reason that at times the audio is added after the fact is because I have a life which includes family and pets that make noise that I'm not going to attempt to silence because filming myself fiddling with a toy is more important (read: it's not.) Hopefully that answers what you were getting at. - I'm a fan of this piece. Very well made and I don't see myself buying another iteration of this version of Getter 1 ever. I was surprised at just how good this was considering its age.

That's cool, yes you found me out. I DID wonder why all the nuance audio were covered on some of your later reviews. Now i know why. Yes, your Family does come first! No doubt. Personally, I do NOT at all mind family or pets interjecting in audio or video.
watching your review make me want to break the piece out and play with it. I also foiund couple of new things from your video. Please keep makeing your reviews. Its very informative and its always appreciated.

Personally, I do NOT at all mind family or pets interjecting in audio or video. That's nice but the reality is that it's off-putting to a good number of people, including myself. ---------------------------------- Trying to get Black Getter done soon.
