I wrap mine in bubble wrap and play tetris in my closet and under my bed I don't like using stickers as I'm a minimalist, so I keep the sheet, any spare parts I'm not posing with, and and loose bags, ect in the box. I rarely keep toys that I keep in the box as I display them all in dust free shelves. If I can't enjoy them, I sell them . To me, a toy in a box is a spirit in a cage. It's tragic! haha I try to stack them as they are natually designed to display, so their isnt any un-needed weight on the sides. I also love to find other stuff to sell to make room for my boxes. For example I sold a few pairs of Nikes I NEVER war and had more money for toys! I love freeing up space. There are a few boxes, like the Medicom Eva, that I have thought about breaking down and keeping the plastic tray in a box with others stacked together but it seems like a project... but I haven't made up my mind yet if it would hurt the box to do that.

Btw, do you guys have a problem with molds when storing your toys in big carton boxes? Also, throwing in Japanese paper into the storage boxes/bins also helps keep them dry. I usually include 3-4 sheets per 20x20x20 box, nothing fancy or spread out or lining the inner walls or anything, just opened/not folded. Gold GOLD - Why "Japanese paper"? Is there a different moisture content with them that your recommending? Seriously... I've noticed papers from different countries have different thicknesses and chemicals which are better or worse depending upon your needs. Some newspapers ware know to be too dry and actually adhere to items because of the sweat from the item pulling them on like wrapping paper... I've seen this in India and parts of South America

Btw, do you guys have a problem with molds when storing your toys in big carton boxes? I haven't encountered any yet, but I do advise throwing in lots and lots of silica packets into the boxes if you expect mold to happen. Also, throwing in Japanese paper into the storage boxes/bins also helps keep them dry. I usually include 3-4 sheets per 20x20x20 box, nothing fancy or spread out or lining the inner walls or anything, just opened/not folded. Airconditioning helps a little, but temperature fluctuations might cause mold to grow too (I think?). So best to minimize moisture instead. Dry heat is better than moist heat in this case. Gold Good suggestion Gold! i will try to stuff some japanese papers into the box, i get tons of them when amiami ship stuff to me One of the places i used to store some of my stuff and my wife's nendoroids happens to be a bomb shelter (yeah, you heard it right ;D government regulations) cum storage room and it have been completely overrun by molds fortunately, i had most of my chogokins stashed in cooler rooms

Bandai makes great toys. Unfortunately they make crappy boxes. Most of my Bandai boxes are made from thin shoddy cardboard.
Their PG Gundam boxes are nice though, which is kind of ironic. I don't suppose many people keep boxes of model kits after building them.

Some newspapers ware know to be too dry and actually adhere to items because of the sweat from the item pulling them on like wrapping paper... I've seen this in India and parts of South America I'm no paper expert but ,I usually use Japanese Paper since it seems better than other types I can easily buy. Bond paper seems hardly absorbent. Tissue paper just has too much loose pulp that turns into dust and can also easily disintegrate when wet or moist. Plus, when the Japanese paper is freshly put into the box (note, I don't use the paper to wrap or anything, just randomly placed in the storage box), it's nice and crisp. When there's moisture starting to build up, you can tell right away, since the paper will start to become very slightly soggy. So that means it's either time to add more silica get/packets, or change the location of the storage box altogether. Hmm... I might try onion skin paper next, but I find it a bit too thin. Gold

The large mountain of boxes in my storage room.. is a sore topic with my wife... she doesn't get it. Anyway I keep all the accessories in those boxes. Which then go into bigger boxes are plastic tubs or on a shelf.

I've been trying to figure out a way to display all the boxes right behind the glass display cabinets, you know from floor to ceiling. The problem is that the combined weight of the boxes on top will certainly damage the ones in the bottom. I thought about making shelf levels at certain intervals so the weight will never exceed ht eaverage of one box on top of another (2 boxes per shelf). I just need to sit down and visualize it, but for that I need to have all the boxes available as well. Sometimes I wish these figure were sent in cheap plain blank boxes with its accessories wrapped in paper... }D

Baron, how are the weather conditions like with your storage shed? Is it one of those insulated ones that protect it from moisture/cold? Or one of the regular ones? Reason I ask is because I'm wondering if any toys have been affected due to weather factors with an outdoor storage shed.

Provided the stacking should be leveled. The cardboard will distribute the weight evenly. It should hold. Provided also you don't put something super heavy up top, like say, an anvil. ;D The cardboard "spacer" has to be very, very thick, maybe roughly a quarter of an inch at best? Try getting a heavy duty Balikbayan box, chop it up and see if it works. I got the idea from storing my Binaltech TFs, I was worried the acetate windows on the boxes would be crushed if I stacked them all in a 2 pillar column (around 8 per pillar, total of 16), I put the cardboard "spacer" on each level, packed them away for a few years and checked them recently. It seemed to work fine. Baron, how are the weather conditions like with your storage shed? Is it one of those insulated ones that protect it from moisture/cold? Or one of the regular ones? I thought about renting a storage unit a few years back, but I got turned off when they told me they fumigate the areas every 3 months to prevent ants and termites. I don't know if the chemicals will affect the items in storage, but this might be something to be mindful of. Luckily, I have a brother in law who has a vacant room above his commercial office, so that's where I store most of my things. Gold

Thanks Gold. That may actually work. Since I wanna do it the length across the entire wall, I may even use same size shipping boxes and place them as columns every couple of feet. That should take off most if not all the weight off the figure boxes. ;D I still got a couple of months until I move back home where my real collection is, so I got time to ponder on exactly how I'll do it. }D

Those indoor storage facilities, such as U-Haul, are mostly climate-controlled and quite secure. So your boxes will be safe in there. Just make sure you keep your storage space rent payments on time... because if you fall behind on the rent, they will warn you... ...if you still don't pay up, they will confiscate everything you have in that storage shed and sell it to make up for the unpaid rent. I've lost lotsa furniture to them from past rent issues. zozo-mag All the boxes mostly Uhaul Extra Large are stuffed with SOC etc. boxes. This is about 75% of them in my storage shed, the rest are at my house. The bane of my existance! What a coincidence: I noticed the stand for the white Mazinger uses the same type of Scrander mounting stand as the one for the (big bang punch) God Scrander's stand...... So, I was thinking of making a resin copy of the God Scrander's stand for the white Mazinger's Jet Scrander. If it works out, I'll probably make one for other SOCs and SRCs as well. You can keep that one which you have, perhaps use it for a custom part to your other figures. The box for the white Maz: no worries no rush, whenever you get a chance you can ship it. Thanks! zozo-mag Mazinger I found the box to your white Mazinger and it has the flying stand part with it,if you want i can ship it to you??
