Damn. Just over $800. My MP-10 looks really good now. Nope. Don't need another.

I can see why it would cost this much, it's pretty much a DX Mazinger plus. Plus Artstorm is no Bandai so amounts will be much lower this higher per item prices.

Yep. I am sure someone will buy it. I also know that someone won't be me. Looks awesome though

Yeah, that's essentially the price for all three Fewture Getter Gs... I would also wager the $1300 will drop maybe? Although, given the $250 up-front deposit, I don't suppose many suppliers will have extras lying around.

You took the words right outta my mouth .... I don't wanna offend Transformer fans. But I had just seen this Fewture Ultimetal Prime posted on my Facebook wall, and at first glance of his open armor the first words outta my mouth were "DX Mazinger Rip-Off"... the same exposed inner mechanical guts gimmick as the DX Maz. It's not exactly ripping off the DX Maz... it's using the same open armor/exposed guts gimmick that is the strongest selling point of the DX Maz. The DX Maz is still raking in the money since its debut. Fewture borrowed from that gimmick to get this Prime figure blasted off the ground with fans. I think fans will like this Prime, especially with that DX gimmick. After all, fans of every other robot/mecha would love to own their favorite robot/mecha figure in that rendition. This Prime figure looks awesome, but take away the DX gimmick and it would be just a good Prime within a reasonable price. zozo-mag I can see why it would cost this much, it's pretty much a DX Mazinger plus. Plus Artstorm is no Bandai so amounts will be much lower this higher per item prices.

So let's see if the new 1:35 GFF Metal Composite RX-78 can beat this beast's price. It's going to be the battle of the titans!

I was just thinking that at US$800 all in, I could consider getting one. Now we're at US$900 all in. Well, more like ~$1050, once the customs are done with it (and at that size and price, no doubt they will catch it).
Mpff... nevermind, still too much.
PS : "Available in December 2013." !?! So soon? Really? Darn. No way I can get it, then.

Anyone order a Ultimetal Optimus Prime?
Do you think this will sell out? Or will there be a future opportunity to pick this up from the discount bin?
Delayed until March 2014.

Anyone order a Ultimetal Optimus Prime? Do you think this will sell out? Or will there be a future opportunity to pick this up from the discount bin? Delayed until March 2014. This is a very hard one. We know the rabidness of some Transfans out there and so, anteing up for $1K for a giant "statue" with some articulation and lightbulbs may be no big deal. In some ways, I do hope this toy goes on a deep discount so that I have a shot at getting it. But, if it doesn't, I won't lose sleep either.

I saw this for preorder in HK at many places for about 800USD. Had I a chance to seen in in person, I might had gotten it. The shipping will be the killer on this item. I am sort of wondering if they will treat this like a lot of high end toys I saw there. Pretty much made for preorder and a little extra then its gone. Its not an item that will be manufactured to fill shelves. They will likely have these made to fill orders.
