now the deluxes are out whos been handing over $$. Do you like them? Im only interested in jazz and maybe barricede at the moment. From what i can see through the box windows the toys look better quality than many pictures suggest but still, theres a rather dull and unfinished look to many of them, i know realism is the key with these but they dont look like much when sat near those damn funky ben 10 toys.

I wasn't too impressed until I realized all the toys that soldout. Barricade looked good, but I would like to see the DX Optimus and the Helicopter robot.

Ratchet looks like a good design but like almost every other design in this movie he suffers from not looking anything like the character he represents. Most of the rest look terrible IMO, however I'm waiting to see if the movie to decide if I want to buy any of the figures. Im not expecting to like the movie so if confimed I wont be bothering with the movie line at all.

I'll probably get all the unique molds, minus the cyber slammers, FABs, and other non-core stuff. The real gear toys I'm not so sure yet. But I'm definitely getting the Takara-tomy version of the Leader Class Optimus Prime, since it supposedly has some diecast parts. And if the Leader Class Starscream is being released by Takara-tomy, then that will be in my list.

Does the leader class Prime really has diecast in it, cause I noticed the price is higher than the American version?

Yup..it was reported in Seibertron that the Takara-Tomy version might have die cast parts. They might also release a voyager class Brawl to the fray. You can check the pre listing price in HLJ.

Yup..it was reported in Seibertron that the Takara-Tomy version might have die cast parts. I'd wait until thats confirmed if I were you. It wouldn't be the first time Seibertron.com has got it wrong, and I say that from the position of being a ex-news crew member there. That's not to say Seibs news is inaccurate but sometimes facts are not checked and rumours are posted with little or no evidence to back them up, if they are saying 'might' I'd wager they really don't know for sure. i have ALL the deluxe figures now: Starscream Optimus Prime Barricade BumbleBee Brawl Jazz Wreckage Scorponok Swindle Bonecrusher

We have the huge megatron figure that was sent to our office. Its cool for what it is. The plastic is soft on places like the fingers. Looks like you need to read the manual to transform it right w/o breaking something. For the most part its cool, just not cool enough for my collection.

Walmart was setting up here ~30 minutes ago. They had the 2 turd mode robots of prime and starscram. I wonder if they will make more. They looked ok in robot mode, but I think I will pass. I did want to see the other figures in person though, I might have to go back tonight.

looks like most shops are getting the movie toys on shelf. Its great to see so much stuff out but I must admit finding the overall feel of the toys a bit lack lustre. I got jazz which is easily my favourite figure out of all the movie bots. Others that may tempt me are the big prime, barricade delux and ironhide. I think the stars of the new toys are the real gear bots which hark back to microman and have a more old skool design. Im not understanding the energon/cybertron repaints, hardtop is a great mould though, quite complex transformation for a basic toy, arcee is a nice repaint but poor old signal flare, i cant say thats a good looking toy despite his rather unusual transformation mechanism. anyway half the fun is just looking anyway and then seeing all the kids just wondering what hell all this new stuff is!
