I hope Grimlock transforms... Please don't screw up this one Mr. Bay, just make Grimlock transform, and into a Robot mode, not anything else!

FSS was my very first thought when I saw that. I can not think of the mech that it seems to be an exact copy of but I think it came in red and green versions. I know I have the image somewhere on my computer.

I hate it. But I hate all post G1 transformers. I prefer the smooth lines of the cartoon. This summed up my thoughts well:
"I always thought that part of the charm of old-school Transformers was that you could see that they were made of car parts. They had doors for wings, and windshields for chests. And not necessarily in the kibble-y way where half a car was hanging off their butts, but in the good way where it gave them heft and presence."
And they are ruining Grimlock.

I already expect this toy line to be like the last. Small, low details and more geared towards kids. I imagine there will be a few hidden gems but we may have seen the best movie toys come and gone. This line soley became about profit. IMHO. It's possible the generations line and MP line is all that is left for collectors from hasbro.

sad that TF 2nd movie had the best engineering movie toy and massively dropped in quality in the third and now another dive in the 4th. Kinda reminds me of spiderman tobey maguiera toys. the 2nd movie hd the 18 inch super poseable spidey. and then the third came with crap.
so far my interest in tf movie line has been extinct since movie 3

This new figures are not true transformers to me, this are all shellformers, but ill give it chance to see what Hasbro is gonna do, maybe all the budget for the toy line is going for Grimlock.

Looking at these toys, it might be the first time I skip the movie and toys altogether. Really not feeling it. In the previous trilogy, while not being great movies, I can at least find things in them that I enjoy, enough to get the blu-rays and collect some toys. But what I am seeing here makes me want to avoid TF4 more than ever.
