Besides, we all now that Japanese online retailers will open Tryder G7 pre-orders with the usual discounts. So then again I do not see the point of complaining about price. I certainly hope this to be case. Even if it goes down to just 23k yen, it would still make a big difference for me. Regardless of what the actual selling price will be, one thing is certain; it will only go up in the aftermarket, so don't miss it! I certainly don't intend to. Then put some money aside for it. I am willing to bet that you or anyone else who really wants this will get enough money for it by the end of June. I am not rich, and I have to pay bills and taxes like everybody else. But if I really want something, I do set my priorities and reserve money for it. Heck, I might not even buy some robots to get the ones that I really want. I agree with you that if this turns out to be an amazing toy the aftermarket prices might be ridiculously high.

Well truth be told, if ET made it. It would still cost 270... And would also means getting rid of all the cool engineering and all the diecast contents.
So if you,re a big fan of this robot, then I guess this SOC is a pretty good deal. Thank goodness Bandai got the license instead of ET...

So looks like a lot of parts forming. I'm not familiar with Trider, but I do recall seeing another big piece of vehicle in one of the earlier pictures. Do the extra part that don't go in robot mode form that big vehicle? Looks like the extra parts, at the minimum, consist of the tank treads and the rear bulky part of the fortress model (lower right pic): Edit, looks like the rear bulky part of the fortress mode is the vehicle I mentioned above. In that case, fortress mode might be HUGE!

Same pictures posted by locidm, but a little bigger and clearer of [GX-66] Trider G7: tendoutoys.blogspot.hk/2014/02/bandai-soul-of-chogokin-gx-66-trider-g7.htmlAlso Bandai will be producing 'hangar's' under their Tamashii Stage line for SOC(s). Same release date along with Trider G7. Figure is around 18-19cm tall, similar to SOC Daitarn 3. This one is looking good guys... not really into G7, but the music can stick to you, especially if you play a lot of Super Robots Taisen LOL~ Trider G7! Muteki Robo!

Aaah ... looking great! I am concerned mostly about the robot mode since the other mods looks like someone was trying to transform the figure into tryder but got stuck in the middle having no clue what is the next step! Ha ha, Super Robots old school alt modes... -"Hey look, it's a spaceship !" -"Eh... No, it's a robot in seated position, flying with it's arms in rear..." Hey! dont tease! that is his "Beagle" form, why Beagle? it doesnt look like a hound dog? But I love it none the less! what other SRs have a cool form like that,I love the oddballishness of Tryde4r! yay love the new pics Im so happy! Robot lover/Fighter yes daitarn and Tryder along with Daioja and Zambot, are basically brothers ...they all are the 4 similar Sunrise studios robots, all look similar. Its like Go Nagais Mazinger/Great and Grendizer, they all share similar colors with black torsos and red chest pieces. The Sunrise guys have head crests that are similar and yellow wings on all 4.Amongst other similarities.
I like how the Tryder specific base has a hole where his head sinks down, this is a nod to teh playground where Tryder comes up from in the anime.

What cracks me up is that the hangar was not deep enough for Tryger G7, so its head had to stick out in the playground just be abused by those kids.

It's too soon after the Daitarn 3 reissue (which, granted, isn't too pricey - but combined with two SHFs and one Figma, it is!). Luckily, the only toy I plan to get between them is SHF Lucario - I just hope nobody announces even more must have toys to be released in that timespan.

If it makes anyone feel better, the 27000 yen price includes an 8% tax which we probably don't pay. The real price for us gaijin would be 24840 yen.

....plus shipping...and customs. EDIT: Well, don't I feel like a bloody fool now - all this time I've been thinking it's almost 270 euros, but the roughly 1:100 conversion rate of yen is to the US dollar. Which means this guy will be "only" slightly under 200 euro (and probably even less once it hits retail), which is well within my limitations.

That's because that's a different shuttle in the video. The one with the SOC is the original while the one with the wings was a different version for space flights.

Your right Chen, thanks, overlooked that.I see what i thought i saw was red/white is just teh lighting of the all red piece not folded wings on the SOC.They should include those though.not much more work for 2 folding, attaching wings. And I dont think a huge price hike. Edit:actually there is more transformation involved and 2 sets of wings, mayeb it will come with it in the end,its prevalent in the show.

Like I said which you conveniently edited out when quoting my message. You have to get your priorities straight and decide which toys you really want to have. Anyway, I am done giving "monetary advice" and let's just talk about the toy.
