They said the same thing about the combining Disney robot and that got two versions. What's cool or not is a matter of taste what we're talking about is cultural differences, we are talking about a country that has toy sushi that transforms into robots, naked statues of girls with tails and stuff like this lol.

As much as I wanted an Astroboy this does not surprise me. Not after King Micky Robo It'll be a Astroboy combiner. lol. I got the Mickey Robo, but have them displayed as individual bots. The Doraemon characters would fit next to them well. But, I would've been happier with the Doraemon reissue.

(MERGED POST) : Oops, hehe, should have been on a separate thread since it's considered a major release right, like the Disney combiner. Anyway, feel free to delete this topic mods

(MERGED POST) : It's selling real well in japan market though... Not surprised. I guess I was wrong to judge Bandais foresight into its domestic market.
I dont want to judge again but damn...I have to. Because im like that and yes my parents raised me this way. Go head and judge me i wont mind. I just have to say it...again.
It's ugly. It's almost ugly as that goofy bs sun godess creep bot Bandai announced.

(MERGED POST) : Under a different pair of lenses, the heros adored by Americans may be viewed the same. Think TMNT, green lantern, even superman, Spider-Man, and the like. It's just different culture. One is not superior than others.

(MERGED POST) : Agreed that japanese domestic market is something that we as Westerners will never fully understand and prob same goes other way around.
Having said that, If Hasblow and TakeCarrot decided to make a transformer combiner with batman, superman, Spider-Man, tmnt and ironman, I would have said the same thing....ug...well actually
