The trigger is always on design of a robot with a realistic altmode... Not a easy challenge. Matching cartoon is going to brick design. One of the best exemple is the Boldform Motormaster... Going more IDW, you have FP, MP in Classic scale or MMP Reformated... OX line is a kind of crossover with actual MP state/scale/design and OX Studio style. Believe me, the Line is starting great... Sphinx is first... More means better on each release Line up :

Wow. Either of them makes the CHUG Mirage look like cr@p! Speaking up because the Classic Mirage Mold is one of my favorites. A $15 deluxe toy from years ago isn't a fair comparison to these $80-$100 collectible. classics Mirage is still a very good toy that's fun to fiddle with and looks good. At the time, it's one of the most poseable figures and clever transformation. Out of the two, MMC v DX9, I like the look of MMC more. Only thing that's bothering me is the abs on MMC version. Either the chest isn't big enough or the front spoiler on the abs needs to be pushed in more. Proportions Looks a little fat to me for a Mirage design. Mirage and Hound, along with Jazz are the three Characters that I would add to my MP collection. SunStreaker, is a maybe since I wasn't a big fan of the character but the Badcude version looks to good to ignore. MMC Mirage, MT Hound. Now just waiting for a Jazz. Not Impressed with the TnR version.

I just have to wonder why a new company would pick a character like Shockwave to make seeing as how Fanstoys' Quakwave set the bar so high for so many figures. If it goes their way and it is a superior product then it could make the company, if it bombs, then it could kill this new company. I think it is a big gamble especially now that FT Quakewave is going to be released again.

No news from Omnigonix himself but I think his Sunstreaker is still on production (factory step).

Yeah got the PO notification earlier. Is the pink-colored parts in those pics indicating diecast/metal?

Yup the pink highlights are diecast parts plus on both versions the shoulders are movable on positions.
