Hi all,
I am turning 47 this month!
I still have my 1977 Voltes V Volt-in-box given by my father. I started collecting Super Robots in 2006 when the SOC Voltes V came out.

I'm 20 but I've been collecting for around 5 years now. I'm not really into super robots in general, I just buy whatever I think is cool. I tend to lean towards 80's mecha designs though, but I can appreciate a good toy or model any day. I have stuff in my collection ranging from FSS and Gundam kits to Wall-E and Walker Gallia. And if any of you feel old, keep in mind that there scale modelling forms out there where the average age of the members is 60 and above, and the people are far more bitter than you could ever imagine.

If you haven't yet, go read a bunch of the interviews of many of the regulars In the modern robots collecting group, even though the interviews are in "General" section. Some good answers there. Myself, 41yrs, and collected a bit in 90s, trying to get back some of the nostalgia I had from living through the intro of Shogun Warriors, Robotech, Godaikins, Voltron, Transformers, but the newer TF and Super Robot offerings were crappy then, but things kicked in awesome in later 90s/early 2000s, with reissue takes on old chogokins like Raideen, the reissue Valkyries, and intro of the SOC line. THEN! There came Super7 magazine bringing out awareness of way more Japanese toy stuff, as well as ads in that magazine for most of the internet groups we have today, like RJ! That all got me going and connected more early 2000s.
