i rather have scratches every where than a breakable joints yes.. if we have a choice.. u can either have one flaw... or both... unfortunately... the worst of the two is given. the people that own the gattaiger are telling you the figure has substandard materials, seems like it.. in some parts.. of which part? obviously. ofcourse im still glad i own it. BUT.. it would been better. HlPro replied about my broken hand peg, " Yes, this is clearly a defect and we will take care about this, of course. its nice to admit and be honest about it. and not deny and cover it up. whoever @ HLPro that replied to Goldorak... keep it up.

Hello Gattaiger fans after so much waiting finally the figure is between my hands (honestly i wasn't in a rush to get it tho) so as you know Gattaiger is the hero in the movie called The Great Battle of the Flying Saucers and it was created by Go Nagai back in 1975 as a prototype for Grendizer, it have a very simple design but its beautiful i noticed that my unit have couple of things i didn't see before notice the plastic bags around the arms also the Gattaiger was in the autopilot mode (without Roboizer face) i immediately notice the plastic joints which is a bad thing to have in a diecast limbs the paint on the figure is almost perfect i only found some tiny scratches on the neck and on the back of its head since Roboizer don't have any weapons so it didn't come with any accessories the left leg joint is tight and when i move it the legs start to coming apart a little (lucky the pegs on the arms didn't break on my unit) now to combine it with Gattaiger, first you need to hold Roboizer from the middle and separate it just like the instruction (be sure to hold it from the stomach area not the chest) after separating it take out the wings on Roboizer back then take the hands off, place Roboizer in the tiny compartment carefully then you take the booster from the back and place it in its place (i thought they didn't put it in box but it was inside of Gattaiger ) then you place the black disc on top of it then put the red wings and front piece then finally you put the yellow part i didn't push the yellow part all the way also i didn't put the top piece on Gattaiger head because i didn't want it to get scratched the spider spin Gattaiger in the anime accurate parts size comparison with some SOCs with the GX-04S Spazer at the end its nice figure over all im not sure if mine is a 2nd shipment because it have plastic bags on the arms and the Gattaiger was in a different mode also when i was unpacking it every thing was cold like it was on the fridge and honestly this is the first time i have a cold figure usually its in room temperature pros 1- rare character the only Gattaiger you can get 2- the Gattaiger is really really heavy you need to hold it by your self to know 3- anime accurate 4- display value 5- the paint on Gattaiger is awesome and the way it reflect light is very good cons 1-the price, i got mine for $143 from AE so i consider it reasonable but for $200 its to much 2- the fragile pegs on the arms on some units break easily 3-the plastic joints on the legs 4- roboizer feel kinda flimsy and its kinda annoying to make it stand perfectly (maybe because its new?) 5- the waiting for the figure to be released made people hate it or cancel it bottom line i feel its more like hit and miss with this figure but if you get a QCs free unit like mine your going to love it

very nice looking figure! im glad yours turned out good.
im also glad HLPro is adjusting issues as they arise. hopefully, it will keep up the good work of continously improving QC on this guy. he looks really good.

yeah. it's good to see that hl pro is answering the call of their customers. qc issues are probably unavoidable. even mighty bandai has them. but hopefully hl pro will grow and learn from this.

joints on my figure smoothed up a lot as you move him more and more. In a few weeks you will see. Do not be afraid to remove the hands, just be careful when it is new, after a few times it gets easier.

that sounds like WarBot Defender....one of the worst. i hope thats not the case.
On Defender, the clicky knee joints turn to plastic dust after like two moves, rendering grinding knee joints to smooth gliding and floppyty flop as spaghetty noodle as DiegoDoom puts it. Even the $20 add on heels help that it also Display great but the brittle plastic used on joints just wrecked that figure.

size comparison with some SOCs cool that its enough the right size for SOC Grendizer. like it was really made for him.

off topic the GX-04 really start to show its age Bandai need to do a new one and R version or some thing with new spazer back to topic yea it goes nice with the other SOCs but you immediately notice its not an SOC the Gattaiger is super nice i think i will display it next to the Spazer and the other Grendizer ships also i forgot to mention there is no landing gear so it will wigle wigle wigle and no stand to put stuff on but that don't bother me much since most of the figure now don't have one

Cool to see they're wrapping the arms in plastic baggies now. I wish mine came with them, but hey, at least people now won't have the issue me and Chachi encountered anymore. Now you're just left with bad jointwork and, if you're unlucky, not-so-great paint apps. If you're on the fence, choose carefully

i honestly dont know any thing about it, i saw some photos yes but im not sure is it going to hold the weight of Gattaiger the bottom silver disk is thick metal and with the other parts attached to it its weight even more at the moment i put it back in the box till i finish my cabinet i think most of the QCs are on the chrome version and the silver version, the anime version have some QCs but not like the other two still a unique piece to have im really looking forward to Astroganger

It will support it no problem. If you position it right you could probably stand on one. And they are the only third party stand that will support that thing well without damaging the paint. If you are going to put the saucer on display it will be worthwhile to invest in one. It just avoids getting scratches on the belly or jury rigging something.
